Even if it wasn't they are giving CONCACAF 6.5 places at WC2026. CONCACAF has 10 eligible FIFA members. As it stands CONCACAF qualifying still gets 3.5 places without USA/Canada/Mexico involved. What a farce that is.

He hasn't reffed in 30 years. Think it's more he's a former ref and on the referee committee.

The way it’s worded makes it sound like he was a referee during that 2016-2018 period.
