I understand loving the sport, but I don’t really see the point of him doing that. You would think he would just retire as soon as no PL clubs want to sign him and enjoy his retirement with his family. Instead of going through long preseasons, matches, extensive travelling in lower divisions for the next several years.

I can understand someone like Ronaldo playing as long as he has since he wants to get to 1000 goals in his career and play in a record sixth World Cup. But James Miner in League 1?

Yeah I doubt he will.

I reckon it's cool if old blokes go down the divisions to continue playing.

You are a long time retired once you do hang up the boots.

Sure if you're 33 or something, not when you're 40/41. It's a bit sad. You're a long time retired but you're also a long time dead, spend time with your family.

Nigel de Jong likes this

Football has changed a lot.

Nigel De Jong was only given a yellow card in the World Cup final. The ****er in the above video was banned for life for a similar incident in the fourth division in Indonesia. Wild lol.

I'd say his looked premeditated but yes, not too dissimilar, maybe the speed.

Yeah, definitely looked premeditated.

I got a new TV that comes with over 2000 channels. I was trying to figure out how to get rid of them all when I stumbled on England v Argentina at the 2002 WC. Pochettino trips Michael Owen in the area. Becks smashes home the penalty for a 1-0 win in the group stage.

That was such a great match and build up to it. Massive redemption for David Beckham after he was massacred by the media and supporters for 1998. Which funnily enough never happened with Wayne Rooney in 2006. Instead the media and supporters went after the opposition player lol.

Ronaldo urged the ref to send Wayno off then came 'the wink'. Not a nice thing to do against your club team mate. But tbf, stamping on someone's balls is usually a red card offence.

It was fantastic. Getting your club teammate sent off in the most campaignerish way possible is what international football is all about.

I'm not sure many United fans would agree with you. I'm not surprised CR7 found a home at Real Madrid. Them and Portugal are probably the two most campaignerish teams around.

No surprise to see City and Chelsea high up on that list, didn’t think Villa and Everton would be up there as well.
