The Spanish camp was divided a few years ago with Real/Barca. Xavi, Casillas, Ramos, Iniesta, Villa etc I think.

Apparently (from what I remember), there was some beef between players, but I believe Del Bosque made sure all of that nonsense was no longer. Of course it was denied by anyone. But I kinda would understand if players had some troubles with each other with rivalry between Madrid and Barca.

pretty sure it was casillas and xavi from memory who fixed the problems. casillas always was good friends with quite a few barca players. some of them dont get along, like pique and basically everyone at madrid.

I knew who would know something about this lol.

You wonder how Pique and Ramos maintain a decent partnership at the back.

Just Adelaide and the two Melbourne clubs missing. I wonder if by this stage, he's just going to try complete the set now.

Well, the African draw for WC Qualifying is on later today, and these are the seedings:

I think this also goes to show exactly how stuffed up African qualifying is in general. So many of those teams would be good selections from the CAF. (For the love of god, if anyone underrates Cape Verde, you need to get shot, they should be considered one of the big African hitters).

Here's a fun one: We could have a group that has Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Libya in it. We could potentially have our first ever group wide cancellation if that does happen.

Well... there was a group of death alright...

Group A: Tunisia, Libya, DR Congo, Guinea

Group B: Zambia, Cameroon, Algeria, Nigeria

Group C: Gabon, Mali, Ivory Coast, Morocco

Group D: Senegal, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde

Group E: Ghana, Egypt, Congo, Uganda

3 of the 5 2014 qualifiers in one group, combined with Zambia, who are big in the AFCON, and well... this isn't just a mere group of death. This is a group of Armageddon.

If you're wondering what the heck is up with African representatives, this is why. 54 to 5 is a tricky task, but when it ends up with groups like these... you can see why CAF is the hardest qualifying continent out there. I feel sorry for Algeria, clearly the dominant nation on the continent, and that's their reward.

Just look at Group A and D. Tunisia should secure it, and heaven knows with Group D. Cape Verde should have, but geez, that is weak.

What a terrific argument you have made here. Now in order to prove a comment about Woy not being a great manager I have to type down names of managers to sate your request because otherwise apparently I do not have the capability to think of anyone.

Okily dokily.

Arsène Wenger
Francky Dury
Chris Hughton
Guus Hiddink
Alan Pardew
Eddie Howe
Rafa Benitez
Alex Ferguson
Simon Grayson
Mark Hughes
Phil Thompson
Marco Van Basten
Brendan Rodgers
Kenny Jackett
Manuel Pellegrini
Gerard Houllier
Aitor Karanka
Bert Van Marwijk
Mauricio Pochettino
Ronald Koeman
Gary Rowett
Kenny Dalglish
Dick Advocaat
Mickey Evans
Alan Shearer
Graeme Souness
Nigel Pearson
Sean Dyche

What was the point of this again?

I would bet a lot of money that Woy's replacement doesn't come from this list.

Haha re-reading it I can't believe I missed that Alan Shearer is on here as a candidate who would be better than Hodgson.

Man this post is hilarious.

Southgate is the current fav and he's worse than most on that list.

They really need to go away from being English again.

In fairness I just noticed Pardew is on his list and I'd back him to get it.

Allardyce another who could get it, but I don't think he's on the list.

Bruce is going to be out of a job soon.. stranger things have happened?

Reckon Pardew would want it?

There isnt a British coach I'd give the job to. No-one really up to it.

Howe might be in future but it's destroy him. He's best away from the whole set up.

Pardew? The whole country would collapse under the weight of smug.

It'll probably one of the company men in failed Boro manager Southgate or failed Valencia manager Chuckle. They wouldnt give the FA suits any bother which is the sole selection criteria.

If Beckham wants it the FA would give it to him.
