maybe offended was the wrong word. If he hadn't bitten so hard then it wouldn't have escalated.

Yeah fair, I guess it's easy to bite hard when it's such a stupid comment though? Just surprised people taking Simpson's side on here when the general consensus seems to be he's a complete campaigner.

tbh i just took his side because he made carra bite so hard haha when he could have easily let it go through to the keeper.

He's a complete campaigner but not because of the twitter interaction. More because of the domestic abuse shit.

We'd never give him one to wear (I hope) ha ha.
You probably wouldn't haha. He wouldn't even ask to be fair.

Don't they call the merseyside derby the friendly derby or something like that?

Well yes there is that too. You've blown up about this when I just found it an amusing interaction. Guess it's our different sense's of humour again. :thumbsu:

yeah. it's got a family atmosphere and there is no fighting or BS about club tragedies.

Lol, blown up? Good one.

I found it amusing as well, I just liked the other side of it. Which I suppose is not that surprising.

They do. But I'm yet to meet a dipper or toffee that has anything close to friendly feelings toward their derby rival.

I get that. Must admit, I was surprised to see Carra in the training gear - whether he played there as a kid or not, he's still a Liverpool legend now. Didn't Stevie G support Everton as a kid? Can't see him putting on the training gear for any reason.

Yeah not surprising. Fair enough.

Think Slippy was always a red ( despite the Everton kit). Carragher, Owen and Fowler were blues.

But once you cross the line ...

Never really understood this irrational hatred of players who play for a particular team, that magically goes away for most when said player plays for their national team. Always been something that confuses me.

Yes there's a lot of passion between cross-town rivals, but a retired player donning a training shirt for a laugh for an interview, particularly when he supported and played for that team as a kid is not really an issue in the slightest.

Is it really that bad that Carra was wearing an Everton training kit? Yeah he's a Liverpool legend, but he's retired now and he was an Everton fan growing up, might still have some feeling towards them.

yeah i dont understand anyone who has a fuss. he's an everton fan, doing a feature with everton, merely in an everton training top. it's not like he had carragher 23 done up and sung the slippy g song. even though that would've been amazing.

I can understand while pool fans would be upset. You like to think that after spending their whole career at one team that they would have moved past their boyhood love and embraced everything about the club. If John Terry was parading around in West Ham gear I wouldn't be too impressed.
