Completely agree. If anything it felt like Fallout light. And if I'm going in for what is meant to be an improvement on Fallout, I want more. It doesn't have to be 400 hours long but you know what I mean. Little things like 3 weapon types. It just seems like a cut corner?

The weapons shit me, I have them all set and probably won't change them at all and this is from fairly early in. I just upgrade as I go, no need to change.

I only got it a few days ago, but I'm already seeing a lot that needs improving. Like companion commands for instance and more interaction speech with companions. That first moral decision you have to do in Edgewater...I would have loved to have been able to discuss it more with Pavlova or whatever her name is...instead of just her default comments that get triggered at weird times, as she lived there and would have more insight to repercussions than my guesswork(I put off making the decision for quite a while waiting for more insight that never happened)

I wish there was easier ways to change companions. Rather than traverse through 3 loading screens - fast travel to ship, leave ship and select companions, fast travel back. You can send them back easy enough, just need a call for one of them to join you. Particularly when they give you skill perks (ie Vicar gives you +10 Hack). Even if it was something like a comms station at specific places you could use to call them.

You can call your ship to various landing pads, but you're still going through 2 loading screens by entering and leaving your ship just to change companions.

Yeah very annoying.

I don't even bother with the companion commands. I just let em do what they want.

I only realised what the companion commands even were last night...

The priest guys one is handy, knocks down and causes some debuffs.

The writing is top class, some of the best for a while. Graphics looks good

The problem is the items aren't that interesting, no crafting system, junk is basically useless. Not many interesting mods, armour variety's limited. Weapon system is decent though

It is still a very enjoyable game based on the writing alone and it's a chill enough game if you ignore how bland most of the game mechanics are

There's two to be found on the Groundbreaker, one on Roseway (or at least the mission for it is), two in Edgewater (Parvati and the Vicar) and one on Monarch.

I guess if you’re shit at the game you can use the robot

Graphics look good? I reckon they’re rather average, like Fallout, and have found the frame rate to be a bit of a problem.

**** me.

I have done all side missions I have come across and am just about to finish the second main mission on the groundbreaker (I'm about 300 bits short of the 8k) and I still only have one companion

8k for the Steller Bay key? Or Old Mate's seal? Wouldn't bother buying the Stellar Bay key. Just land in Cascadia and run up the western side of the map. You can just run straight through, or fight your way, it's not too hard. The seal I think you can just steal from the safe if you're lock pick skills are high. They'll catch you but if you're quick and get it the first time you can get away with it. You can also just kill everyone in the room and take it from the safe.

The companions on the Groudbreaker are (if you want to know):
  • Felix - He's arguing with a soldier in the hangar bay when you get off the ship. Talk to him.
  • Ellie - In the medical centre, help her friend out.

I'm not the only one who got a Firefly vibe!

I spoke to Felix when I first landed but haven't seen him since.
I asked him what his plans were, next time I went back to my ship he was waiting out front wanting to join my crew.
