I used to play football against Armadale and couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as the game finished.

I'm sorry.

I played 10 years at Armadale...Great times...;). I can remember playing in the south freo district and the tribunal guys came down to the club and had a talk to our team and the team above us because alot of the players at the time would start brawls over some petty stuff.

I really dont get the bad Armadale vibe anymore. Its a gospel town these days. I remembet the grand armadale shops having a $2 shop and busted old version of timezone.
Aint nothing scary about Armadale now.

Maybe its just me but places like Morley, Mirrabooka, Midland have me more nervous than Armadale ever will

Morley? Why? What's wrong with the Gallers!?

You could say the same about Subiaco...

And yet the units and offices continue going up - subi going to end up like one of those estates you get in London

I hate galleria these days - all those that used to shop at mirrabooka have moved across to Morley because they don't like the clientele that now shops at mirrabooka. I now head off to Joondalup, Whitfords, karrinyup or garden city

Joondalup and Whitfords too far. So is Garden City. Karrinyup too snooty I reckon.

I'm trying to picture the Timezone. Was it in the dodgy shops the other side of Jull St from the main 'Shopping City'?

Yeah...I think its where anytime fitness is now. Does anybody remember the Woolworths that was separate to the shops for no reason :p.

One I'm thinking of was the old shops on the railway side of Jull St. Downstairs from what is now the cinemas.

We never really had any trouble playing against Armadale nor do I recall hearing anyone having any trouble playing against them.

Its all foreign to me. The same reason Armadale makes you nervous is the same reason those places make me nervous

Who's winning the 'biggest shopping centre in Perth' comp at the moment anyway? Still Joondalup? Garden City has plans to more than double in size but that's not even under way yet.

There's plans to upgrade Innaloo to a double or triple storey shopping centre, I think it will be the biggest in Perth when it's finished.

Joondalup would probably be the biggest at the moment.

I believe that innaloo will also incorporate apartments as well

I love driving so the distance never worries me. A change is as good as a holiday and each centre has their own specialities so it's dependent on what I need. Bizzare my I live with 5km of the city but rarely use it.

City costs way too much to park, and if you plan on getting anything bulky then that rules out getting public transport too.

The houses across the road from Garden City will be apartments. All rezoned to R100
