Without trying to sound big headed, I’m fairly good looking, I keep myself as fit as I can, I have a highly skilled job that I work very hard at and consequently earn well into six figures.

I didn't realise croweater had moved to Scotland.

I wonder if as a guy if you listed your height as 5'7'' how many girls would respond even if you were good looking, had a good job etc?

Did LOL at the average body type being size 14/16 thing, though. A pretty wide (pun not intended) cross section in that category. Assume it's similar for guys, although I'd expect it to be more a case of guys claiming to be more athletic than they are.

I'm not sure why women would be pissed off with him. I used to use POF a fair bit and the way he is is probably the same with at least 50% of the women on there. If you are attractive and have a bit going for you then you can afford to be picky. It's just the way it is.

There's nothing wrong with the crux of what he said but the way he said all the other stuff was unnecessary and paints him like a bit of an egotistical knob.

By the same token the woman didn't have to have a sook about it on FB and get the guy booted. She should have just been thankful for dodging the bullet. Besides some women out there like egotistical knobs and actively seek them out.

He didn't really say anything offensive, it's just that he said things that people don't usually say to others. 'You're too fat' is usually replaced with 'you're not my type' or 'I'm really not looking for anything at the moment' etc.

The majority of people would flick through yes/no dating apps going 'too fat', 'too ugly', 'too old' etc. but it takes a special kind of person to put words to that effect on their profile. I imagine if you're a good looking girl dating apps would be overwhelming.
