Part 4 is here:

I know people who are extremely successful and smoke weed
I know people who are not successful and smoke weed

Can pretty much exchange the word weed for other drugs (maybe not meth/ice categories) and alcohol. If people want to buy weed now it's so ridiculously easy that the thought that legalising it will create an epidemic is pretty funny. Your local weed dealer will even deliver it free of charge, a service that once legalised will probably not exist.

Can definitely substitute in meth/ice to your sentences. Plenty of high functioning users in society who by any societal metric are deemed successful. That's the thing about drugs, for the vast majority of users it is not a problem.

But why do we still let alcohol and cigarettes be sold legally? In high consumption, they arguably alter a person to far worse states than a bit of weed.
Regardless of anyones position on the matter, why would you compare high consumption of one vice with "a bit of weed"

You would shoot someone down pretty quickly if they suggested 1 beer a week does less damage than a 24 hr a day weed habit.

Like a lot of people I went to high school with a bunch of stoners and have never subscribed to the 'it's harmless' thing, but then I don't see the point in sending people to jail for growing a few plants. It's weed not opium poppies.
These stoners would probably be useless anyway. It's not a drug like Meth which can literally destroy a successful life.

Sorry, I didn’t mean literally a bit of weed. Poor choice of words.

I’m just saying, I don’t really see the difference if you compare alcohol and weed in a similar amount of consumption. I’ve seen people in far worse situations drinking than I have people smoking joints etc.

I’m not for or against here. It just seems a bit of a double standard that we legalise those things and leave it up to a persons choice yet we haven’t for marijuana.

It's an important part of dog training to set boundaries. They are pack animals by nature so if you let them do anything they want they won't properly respond to commands. Hate going to people's houses and their dog jumps up onto you when you are on the couch, you tell it to get down and it just keeps doing it. 'Oh that's just Max, ignore him'. Nope that's you not training him how to dog.

For me dogs are allowed in the house but not on beds or furniture. My house/dog, my rules. Each to their own.

Yep, dogs are happier knowing the boundaries.

That silly jumping around isn’t happiness, it’s anxiety. A happy dog is calm.

So that the gangs continue selling it under a legal front, and continue making meth.

Cannabis legalisation is so poorly thought out, yet thanks to the lobby behind it it is now just accepted to a fait accompli.

I’m not sure it will be legalised for recreational use and certainly never for smoking

It has medicinal purposes and should be legal. Causes less damage than booze. Did you see the story on the news recently about the couple who is going to sell their house because it costs them about 40 grand a year to buy this cannabis product (oil or some sh*t) to treat their son's disability because it's not listed under the PBS (pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme). The gov are the real crooks.

Cannabis has amazing medical properties and the opportunities for applications in cancer treatment, pain relief, the promotion of healing of wounds, epilepsy etc etc is real.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves as the drug will need to go through the same testing regime and trials before being accepted by the medical industry, specialists and finally the PBS.

I own cannabis farms in California which delivers to the NIH and dept of defence. They have been working on different plants, different applications etc for three to four years trialing on US soldiers.

I have no doubt there will be significant medical breakthroughs but I also guarantee that none will include pulling a bong. I also guarantee that none will involve removing the thc from the oil as the CBDs work more effectively as a whole than in isolation.

With Canada legalising it, and the alpha male of the western world, the US, not too far behind, it's only a matter of time before it gets the green:rainbow: light here.

There'll be lots of kicking and screaming, but once the powers that be in Australia see big bro raking in the billions and the medicinal benefits become more and more mainstream, cannabis, on the whole, will become less and less stigmatised and govt will suddenly forget all about its puritanical moralising in lieu of the bulk cha ching.

There is a petrol station just off Albany Highway in Maddington causing disgusting traffic

I don't know why more people don't fill up on Sunday when petrol is almost as cheap as Monday and you don't have all the ridiculous queues.

Intersection of Burslem Drive & Albany Hwy just near the traffic lights. Seriously it's amazing someone hasn't died or been injured there yet, the cops need to start fining people on the spot in that area.

Honestly this wouldn't happen if there wasn't only a small handful of petrol stations having reasonably priced fuel on mondays.

There are a couple of hotspots every single week that causes these traffic issues directly because of petrol stations manipulating the market.

There was a petrol station in Orrong Rd today that my taxi driver said had been shut with cops taking photos. We went past and it was still closed off and the cars not allowed to go. Wonder what happened. Was this morning.

I hate that shit, surely servos causing standstill traffic on a highway is a problem worthy of wapol taking action on?
The line back down the highway would have been at least 300m

No, people's sheep mentality causes issues.
