I was walking around Kings Park earlier today and it was bloody hot.

I bet half the swelter-loving freaks here just sit in the aircon all day and call it beautiful weather because they can see blue sky through the window.

I work in a cafe which the air ventilation is currently broken, the kitchen especially is pretty hell. But outside had a pretty decent breeze so it wasn't all that bad today.

Since most of us have western or central European ancestry then not really, it's just evolution innit. Physiologically we're not equipped to deal with this kind of heat. Not to turn this into a hot vs cold shitfight but it's way softer to hear people complain about our winters even though it rarely goes below 3-4 degrees

I have one that sits in a tree across the road from me, 5 am and 6 pm calls out faaark faaark, I wish it was legal to shoot the faaarker.

Yeah I've certainly thought so lately. The huge flocks of corellas and galahs have seemed to disappear but ravens now appear to be increasing in numbers.

Also, unrelated but apparently HJs in freo closed down today. I can't remember it ever being anything else.

There's no way Freo Council have moved Hungry Jack's out to try and tidy the place. I mean this is the same council who approved two 7 Elevens. What a turd those things are. Visually terrible, ruins the streetscape, and ethically kaput with the way they've treated employees who work just about the worst job and shifts possible.

It'll be some franchisey shit.

Then the same people who only visit on weekends and exclusively drink at scummy Woolworths pubs and eat at (ughghghghg) the 'Cocktail and Meatball Place' will proceed to say how filthy and shit Fremantle is. Ah. Irony.

It's not long until the better part of Freo is overrun by these same campaigners. They're already creeping into decent venues like The Local and Percy's. Ffs the former never had bouncers and now it does every weekend due to the shit campaigners inhabiting it on Saturday nights.
