The Perth Thread - Part 4

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

Is there any restrictions on swimming pools in Perth now? Coming up for the weekend and want to get some exercise in.

None apart from the usual about checking in, physical distancing when possible and masking up when you're not swimming (not that it will be rigorously enforced I'd imagine).

Thanks, I can't swim at home through winter so it's something I look forward to.

Ooh new thread.

Odds on the Baysie bridge gets clipped today then.

Soon enough it will never be clipped again. Probably by Perth thread Part 6 which is due in 2024, given how rapid construction works take place in Perth.

Might not want to drive after drinking half a carton?

If you don't have a sober friend taking your drunken ass through a drive-thru have you ever really lived?

It is great being the piss head. It sucks being the sober driver going through a drive through.
My last experience saw my mate loudly try to order a Big Jack at the Macca's drive through. He knew exactly what he was doing. Teenage girl who took my order was not pleased.

Who honestly uber eats Hungry Jacks? Whats the point?
Keep food delivery to meals that are cold (conti roll, sushi etc) or can be headed up easily (pizza, chinese, indian food, etc).

Last time I ordered HJs from uber the driver took his time picking it up and then delivered a few orders before mine, nothing like a stone cold burger and fries.

We ordered pizza the other night and it got delivered on a a scooter. The pizza had been squished to one side...

But the chips he picked through with his unwashed hands whilst driving around were nice and warm

Thankfully they staple the bags closed these days. Actually its pretty amazing how much food went missing from orders a few years ago when they just left the bags open. Drivers 100% were pinching chips and stealing food.

Get an air fryer. Problem solved in 5 minutes and it'll be better than fresh.

BF - got any recommendation on make/model, price range, supplier etc? For my family of 5-8* including 2 keen fishos who often bring home ocean bounty suited to chippy accompaniments. Been thinking of getting one for a while now.

*5 permanent occupants plus up to another 3 depending on many factors.

I have one of the cheat Kmart ones (does the job) and normally I'd agree but reheated chips are just not the same, and sticking a burger in there (or a microwave) makes the salad warm as well. Perhaps I'm just a prude.

I bought this a couple years ago, its as deep as those big deep expensive Philips ones, I use it really just to cook frozen snacks like chips, party pies etc, and to reheat food like pizza, KFC chicken etc, it does the job quite well!
