Looked good on TV with the old school buildings beyond a healthy looking crowd.Who else went to the cricket at Aquinas today? Loved it!
I used to work at them every year as a junior, just as I turn of the age where I can enjoy it properly it stops being run.Looked good on TV with the old school buildings beyond a healthy looking crowd.
Made me think of the Lilac Hill matches we had at the start of every summer. I miss them. I think I only missed one of them. Was there the day DK Lillie opened the bowling with his son Adam coming in from the other end.
Out in Guilford, next to the Swan River.Where is/was Lilac Hill?
Well, I'd love to know which train he took that from....My son's photo of the freeway from the train this morning

Up near hay st. Going south.
Truck is 200m up the road....
My son says it looks like the driver forgot the arm of the backhoe was up. Looks like there's a bit of damage to the bridge.
That was on the Mandurah line, going North to the city. I received the text just after 8am.Well, I'd love to know which train he took that from....
Would have been absolute chaos (and probably still is I guess). I normally start later on Thursdays, thank **** I was in by 8.00 this morning.
Yeah, I used to get on from Murray St going South after a swim meet and it's bloody really difficult to swing across two lanes of traffic within such a short distance. I remember almost cleaning up a stupid speeding motorcyclist who was speeding in between the cars one evening- couldn't see his light in amongst the crowd of car lights. Thank F&*^ I saw him as I started to change lanes because I know who would've come out the better of the two of us- and it would definitely not have been him. I see motorbikes split the traffic on my way up the freeway every day- never thought I'd be in that situation because I always look twice or three times before I change lanes as I'm very aware of how the motorcyclists ride. That section of Freeway suuuuuucks.
To go South you need to be in the two right lanes else you end up taking one of the city exits. If you couple the fact that 90% of people don't know this and 95% don't know how to merge it's a complete disaster.
Think was IN was getting at is that the photo was taken from hereThat was on the Mandurah line, going North to the city. I received the text just after 8am.
Ah, OK- I've only looked at it from my phone so didn't notice the details and didn't calculate the angles, etc... I assumed that he'd taken it because he said it was what he saw on the train to work...Think was IN was getting at is that the photo was taken from here

not the train

Should be more of it.
Why can't they play shield cricket their? Or similar grounds?
Yeah it is. But my point was more to do with crowd numbers. Would more people turn up to watch the warriors play at Abbot Park instead of the WACA?The WACA is a pretty nice place to watch shield matches
I asked my son- he said he walks over the bridge on the way to work and heard the sirens, so looked down to see what the fuss was about- and took his photo. Apparently it happened 5 mins before he got there.Think was IN was getting at is that the photo was taken from here
