No, the older the get the more you look for good guys then complain that after years of being knocked back and watching you go for arseholes they don't show you any interest.:)

99 girls out of 100 will say this, and 99 out of that 99 will have a different expectation of what it actually means.

I'm going to apply it to one of my friends anonymously since he doesn't read BigFooty...

Takes care of himself - He's about 6', maybe 80kg. Does regular swimming, running but not stero-ripped by any means.
Pride in appearance - I guess so, gets regular haircuts, goes out in jeans and dress shoes etc, doesn't own anything with Unit or Ewood emblazoned on it.
Stable job - public school teacher with city permanency. Can't get more permanent than that but it's not all that glamorous.

Does he get 1 tick? 2 ticks? 3 ticks?

Probably 3 - although her tastes seem to extend more towards the tradie type
And fwiw and I know it's only an example but her father and brother are both teachers

Don't get me wrong, my daughter is far from perfect and would own her share of the cause in the breakdown of relationships. It was only that I was reading what the problem with Perth women was and couldn't help but think that quite a few females have similar views of Perth men and wondered why

Based on your posting, it seems you've been badly burnt or is that just your views in general

So tatts, big muscles etc? Each to their own, just don't complain when they're not interested in talking politics or going to the theatre... #stereotypes

I used that mate as an example because a lot of girls would actually rule a guy out for being a teacher which I think is sad. I would never do the reverse.

No one is perfect. I like this sort of discussions, I think they are refreshing. Too many people hide behind facades and don't address things. It's only an internet forum anyway so you can say whatever you want.

I wasn't there but a guy I know told me of meeting a couple of girls at a pub and they asked him why guys don't go up and approach them any more. He told them that Perth girls are unfriendly and cliquey (a lot of them are) and asked them if they were single. They said they were both taken but just wanted the attention of guys trying to chat them up. What hope do we have! :D

Now you are stereotyping
The last guy was a scrawny 6ft sparky with not a tatt in sight - after 4 years she found him boring and lacking in affection and he found her not up to mum and dads standard for marriage (my interpretation after meeting said parents)

I agree that women can be confusing and send conflicting messages - I have two daughters and both confuse the crap out of me when discussing relationships so god help anyone else trying to work it out. At the end of the day for all the conflicting messages I know the one thing they both want is to come first in a relationship and to feel secure in that relationship. That doesn't mean that mates and drinks with the boys goes out the window but they also don't want to be relegated down the list when something else comes up - but then maybe that says more about their choices rather than the guy himself.

The moral of the story is

This.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl ‘Will you marry me?’

The girl said, ‘NO!’

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and to the footy and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The end.

Generalizing it much. A good partner will still let you do all those things. A good partner also will not send you broke.

sounds pretty terrible

The moral of the story is you will never find someone that is perfect. If you want a relationship you have to settle for at least one thing that isn't ideal.
Yeah, no.

I meet my perfect match in High School.

Ohh High School Biggie? Tell me more you say? Well I will.

Mid 90's High School sweethearts. The envy of everyone. The Jock and the hot chick. Beauty and the Beast. The Rachael & Ross..... Not long after HS finished, my 18 yr old hormones said wait...there is a whole world out there & I'm heading overseas....so I dumped her. Cold. At her house, on her driveway. BAM, cold.

That bitch haunted my dreams, no matter the quantity of female company, no matter the quality (this did help but it eventually gave way, she always came back to me in my dreams). Drugs only help for a short period. I then met someone, did settle. Loved her, but not the right kind of love. More of a comfortable and convenient love.

Fast forward, she had married, I had married, we had kids to different partners, went through the motions so to speak. No regrets, just not in love. Finally, I had enough. I broke my marriage off. Two daughters later, a 4 and 3 yr old. Marital home. Bam. Its done.

Found Facebook and thought this seems to be all the rage nowadays, let me see whats going on.Low and behold shes on there and having marital problems. I said hello and 2 weeks later shes left her husband. She brought 3 boys into my life also.

This happened 7 years ago. We now share a baby girl (yeah 6 kids between us) & have built a family home that is our dream. Yeah its a cliche, but's it ****ing real.

I love this woman with everything I have, she completes me and she is my equal. She is my best friend. I will never leave her, I should never have left in her in the first instance.

There is no settling here. None whatsoever.

it was a joke.
But I really wonder about guys dressed in lycra wasting all their early morning stamina on a bike.
I imagine if I went to bed talking at a guy, talked in my sleep and then woke up and kept badgering him to do things that he would get up early for some alone time.

It's the story of a man named Biggie who was busy with two girls of his own.
Wasn't mike Brady gay?

Sounds like biggie

This sounds like be prepared for anything sort of advice.

i think people in here are kind of overthinking it a little in my opinion. Just make sure you look good, have a stable life and maybe you'll run into someone some day.... intentionally......

Well ****. Thanks a lot dickhole, Im going to get even MORE drunk by myself now.

The other thing about Perth I want to know is this?

Why are the women so beautiful but they usually have a sad, miserable look on their faces? A look of frustration, despair, "**** off" misery on a weekend night?

Is it because WA men do not know how to dress when they go out?

Thongs and shorts are not nightclub wear. You are not digging for idiot ore or laying down some half wit electrical wire, you are going out with a beautiful woman dressed to the nines.

Is it because of that half wit thing?

Or are WA men just crap in bed?

I actually already know, knowing what I know.

But I seek honest opinions, especially from clueless WA men.
I've never noticed this.

Are you sure it's not just the ones you are talking to that are sad?

At times I wonder if either gender is worth it.

Just get it on I think and it will all be good.

By the way, what is that Indian restaurant on the corner of James and William street like?

Any dabblers?

Not as OTT as David Thompson's Thai joint I hope.
