We already do this with silver. Heaps of the merch has silver on it but it's nowhere to be seen on the guernsey (apart from the fist).

In any case you could still incorporate teal into a 2nd kit if you really wanted to have it represented somewhere. It wouldn't be my 1st choice, but if we locked in the PBs at home I honestly wouldn't care if we rolled out the Sharktooth Jizzfest guernsey for an encore.

Relegating teal to a colour we use in our clash and marketing stuff only would be perfectly fine.

I like teal as a tertiary colour but i'd erase it from having ever existed as a colour anywhere for us to wear the PBs.

IF we had PBs as home, I can't see a good reason to change the BIW as it is from clash, so teal still has a place there.

I’m not anti-Teal. I think the grandiose ideas of wearing the the prison bars permanently, erasing “Power” from our name etc etc are pointless discussion. For the record, I like our branding, from our current guernsey kitbag which shouldn’t change anytime soon if ever, and our name and logo. Don’t even mind the all-Teal JLT guernsey, provided it never gets a run in home and away.

I'm only arguing against the idea that teal needs to be removed altogether. For the record, having silver as a sometimes fourth colour is stupid. I'm all for strong branding. Black and white with minimal teal.

I'm not against the PBs at all, I just don't think its realistic to expect them to replace everything else.

IMO dropping the chevrons altogether means going for a complete overhaul of our brand because I think the teal, the logo and the nickname all go together.

Not sure if all that is clear, just trying to consider all options.

Yes, it looks overpriced to me. Should be $50/$80/$100 IMO.

The Prison Bars actually can't replace everything from a purely functional perspective. We definitely need an alternate kit for away games where we cause a clash and realistically we'll probably need a "Collingwood kit" for want of a better term, so I don't think we'd see the total abolition of the chevrons anyway.

As I said earlier that's not my preferred option (I'd like to roll with another historical kit as our alternate) but I can certainly see the argument for keeping the chevs in the above capacity and if that's how it works out then ultimately I'll still be satisfied with the outcome.

i dont think its over pirced at all.... if anything IF they wanted to break the guernseys down further they could put the prices up for players in the 22, then slightly lower for fringe players, and lower again for others etc

Look, I 100% get that but as I previously stated all the Magpies history is still relatively fresh. But what about in about 30 years time when black, white and teal has been the main moniker for the past 50 years? You don't think it could be different in the future?

It's inevitable really..the clubs a business.

Or could go the other way and we start wearing the Magpies Guernsey on a more regular basis.. ie clash strip

Yeah I reckon the home guernseys were $70 last year, but then they all sold very quickly. This gave everyone a chance to get one.
