How many runs will North score today, and a tie breaker of how many balls will he occupy at the crease?


For me the good money would be on him scoring 5 runs of 21 balls. BUT!

My gut thinks he may salvage himself in the team to the annoyance of many.

I am predicting 66 of 139 balls potentially not out depending on the rain situation.

I think what people need to realise is that Marcus North never in fact makes runs under pressure to save his spot, that's utter bullshit

It's just perceived pressure from the media and supporters, the reality is his spot has been safe for a very long time and was never going to get dropped, and I'd be very surprised if he gets dropped for the next test, because the selectors adore him for some apparent reason, surely they can't use his bowling as an extra reason to keep, cos he's not in the team for that, and doesn't take wickets anyway

Today is what you would call a pressure situation for Australia, cos they need to save the game, and this is inevitably where North will fail, cos he just doesn't have the tight technique that's required to grind out an innings on a consistent basis

My money is on him not scoring more than 20
