Records against each other for the top nine teams, in brackets is how many more games to play against these teams.

Collingwood 5-4 (3)
Adelaide 4-5 (2)
Brisbane 6-4 (3)
Geelong 6-4 (0)
Hawthorn 3-5 (3)
GWS 5-5 (2)
Fremantle 6-2 (2)
Gold Coast 5-5 (1)
--------------
Bulldogs 1-8 (2)

Largely pretty even records amongst the nine teams with two pretty obvious exceptions - Freo on the winning side and the Dogs on the losing side. Cats and Suns have the easiest runs home with Suns vs GWS at home the only top nine side either team plays.

Freo's winning record isn't just because of their cheat ground games either. They beat the Pies, Suns and Giants away and lost to the Pies at home. They're down in seventh though because of four bad losses to Sydney (twice), Saints and Melbourne.

Dogs are right where they belong on the ladder at the moment, they're 1-8 against the teams above them and 10-0 against those below and two games off the pack at 4-8. But they're based in Melbourne for the next month and play at home against GWS and Freo, they've got an exceptional percentage too so they're still very much in the mix for a finals spot if they win those two games.

Cats have gone 0-4 against Brisbane and GWS and 6-0 against the other six sides, I think we're guaranteed top three and possibly even top two if we can win in Sydney and finish 4-0, lose though and we're at risk of relying on other results for the double chance. The Hawks' record isn't great and they've got a horror run against the top three teams in the next four weeks but this is the best chance they'll get to improve on their record with Day, Lewis and Dear all coming back in.

If Cats get Crows again we won’t be coming off a 5 day break after playing in 30 degree, 100% humidity and flying back from Qld.

Crows are definitely in a great position, their percentage is so high that it puts them an extra game ahead. If they go 3-1 from here that'll be enough to guarantee them a top four spot. Wasn't suggesting Geelong is in a strong position to win again against any of the six sides we've beaten either, just that it was interesting we lost all four of our games against the two teams we doubled up against while we won all of the one-off games we played against the other six sides.

Crows really should be outright faves right now, have hit form at the perfect time.
Cats are also in good form, but have been beating up on some crap teams so a bit harder to get a great read on them.
Giants also looking good.

These are the three teams that are in good form at the right time, and the three most likely teams to win.

No clear favorite this year.

Any of the current top 9 looks like they can win it.

Might be the most exiting Finals in the games history.

It really be unlucky for the team finishing 9th.
Dogs don't look likely at all. They'll do well just to play finals and ATM doesn't look likely.

They're not winning shit this season even if they get there.
