PORT Adelaide will wear its traditional black-and-white jumper as the Power closes AFL action at AAMI Stadium in late August.

"We will leave AAMI Stadium the same way we entered in 1974 - wearing black-and-white," Port chief executive Keith Thomas told The Advertiser.

The Power will put the names of 1600 members on the jumper. They will have to pay $260 for the honour and a replica of the one-off guernsey.

Perhaps the club could make some serious dosh with PB.....

Stoked is an understatement.

I'm saving up $260.
I'm sure mum will chip in ;)

I wonder what the design will be. Hopefully that of what we wore against the scrays in 2007.

Rumours about the timing were true.

I reckon I might just tear up a little having seen Port Adelaide premierships at Football Park in 1977 (the drought breaker) 1979, 1980, 1981, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998 and 1999.

As much as I dont like the ground in its current format, theres no doubt im gonna tear up at that last match. I grew up from a small child to an adult watching us win flag after flag at Footy Park. Im gonna stand in the Hodges pocket after the match, kiss the ground and kick a goal.

As much as I bag the place Football Park for me growing up was football and as a kid it was a magical place to go. Plenty of great Port Adelaide memories there, plus a few personal achievements.
