Nah, depends on the pie though.
A good pie, and I mean really good has tender meat, rich gravy and needs no sauce to speak of as the gravy does that job since full body.
Off the shelf crap then sure, though I trend to BBQ, it's still pie and sauce, but I've always preferred tender meat and rich gravy as farming you butchered your own and made your own so you loved it then and you loved eating it later so you make that meat sing and dance on that plate somehow.
