Is anyone actually accepting Heinz's idea that you have "Pie and Ketchup " at the footy.
Surely if you want a pie, its pie n sauce and you stick that American named crap up some Heinz executive's butt.

Nah, depends on the pie though.

A good pie, and I mean really good has tender meat, rich gravy and needs no sauce to speak of as the gravy does that job since full body.

Off the shelf crap then sure, though I trend to BBQ, it's still pie and sauce, but I've always preferred tender meat and rich gravy as farming you butchered your own and made your own so you loved it then and you loved eating it later so you make that meat sing and dance on that plate somehow.

Maybe im being a bit too sensative but i would hate to think there are people who's first though was that we may have more chance of winning with Dawson not playing that thinking about how upset and worried he must be with his brother missing.

I like ketchup, I buy it all the time and Heinz is a good brand.

I’m not really fussed though I also buy master foods tomato sauce. I probably prefer the tomato sauce on a pie but good ones don’t need much.

We really go through a lot of it, my wife and kids love the stuff as does my grandson, he’s 2 and already dipping party pies in it when he gets one at the bakery.

Bigger question ai which are your favourite supermarket pies ?. I’ll go Herbert Adams, four n twenty and national foods. Safeway substituted my Herbert adams for garlo’s, I didn’t like the garlo’s at all, strange texture, poor pastry.

Well traditionally you got the pie , and the gravy inside it was so hot you were going to give your mouth third degree burns, so some old duck with a plastic squirt bottle ( complete with residue of the last 20 customers ) would jab the end into the middle of the pie and give it a good squirt. You then used the paper bag to stop your hand from burning, while eating the pie , without dripping any sauce or gravy, while using your second hand for your VB. Personally i was always left had pie, right hand beer.

Best chicken curry I ever had, pepper top crust, sadly they moved outta town to go further north. But it was where I got proper chili sausage from as cheap as slabs of them and very flavourful. I miss muh butcher.

Every week at my old job I’d see the sauce bottle and it would be caked with dried meat and pastry all around the outside.

Any fans of the TV show Louie here? It's a Louis CK thing. I think it's only available on his website now. Costs $30 to have the streaming rights for 3 years I think, which is a bit shit but I'm guessing that's something to do with the original producers of the show. You can download his specials from there if you purchase them so i'm guessing it's out of his control.
Anyway. Might not be for everyone but I really dig it. He wrote and directed it.

Lucky Louie is also worth checking out

I can’t remember why, but he has full control over his shows which is why they’re not streaming elsewhere. He went into detail about it. He uses that money to finance other things that he does, he made a movie a couple of years back

His last few specials haven't streamed elsewhere because he kinda got cancelled. Netflix didn't take them on. His next special is coming out on Netflix though later this year. He's pretty happy about it. He sent out an email about it recently to subscribers to his site.

It's just odd with the Louie tv show you don't get to own it like all his specials on his site. You can't download it, just stream it for 3 years. I have a feeling that's not his doing. I could be wrong though.

Still worth it though... so damn funny.
