Part of me wants to jump on the Raiders. Port city with a history of grass roots radical movements (ie, Black Panther Party), they wear black, look badass etc etc, so on and so forth....

I have a Raiders T-shirt from... well, from quite a long time ago. Could never decide between them and the 49ers. I wasn't particularly analytical about it then and haven't really watched/followed NFL for ...quite a long time.

There was a great doco on One over the weekend that went into the Raiders' close-but-not-quite-there period in the early 70s. I'm not a fan of NFL at all but this was good to watch. The coach was a big gnarly man who mouthed off at the refs. Madden I think.

Yeh, got robbed in the infamous 'Snow Job' against the Patriots, then was traded to Tampa Bay in a move that doomed the Raiders to years of crapidness as the following season he lead his new team to a superbowl win against the Raiders...a game in which it appeared the Bucs D had inside info on every offensive play the Raiders ran (given it was Grudens offense). That is to cut a long story short....
