And yes, they have more indigenous players than us, that's obvious, and I listed them not because they were the reason he accepted the offer, but because like having another Irish player, or Fijian, or whoever, might have helped making him settle in quicker and easier to his new home... But that clearly makes me racist.

I dunno, he could be really close friends with the aboriginal players at Freo, but it's a weird thing to bring up first as justification of a statement of 'he was always going to leave'. This isn't a kid just dragged from a remote aboriginal community, he's a professional adult that was drafted from Sturt(!). Unless you have specific info regarding his friendship groups, I don't know why you'd jump to this conclusion first. Personally I think the fact that Freo were probably willing to pay potentially 100k more and with an extra year or 2 matters more than how many aboriginals were on Freo's list.

It's even weirder considering he was going to go to the Crows, whose marketing and PR material looks like its come from Hitler's ideal of a master race.
