ANZ stadium is a good hour train ride from the city IIRC - it's a lot nicer to stay in the heart of the city and just catch the train out there for the game/concert/**** fight

blacktown is kind of awful too - no offense to anyone who lives there.

you have to get back into the city to get the train to the airport anyway as ANZ is a way away from that too. YHA Hostels FTW!

What's your budget?? If you can afford it, stay in the CBD or city fringe.

If you stay in the city, then if you catch an express train to Penrith or Paramatta or Richmond from Central, you only stop at Redfern, Ashfield or Burwood, Stathfield and Lidcombe which takes about 20 minutes or 25 minutes depending on which express train you catch. If you catch the 12:06pm Richmond train on platform 18 at Central on a Sunday you get to Lidcombe at 12:26. Get off at Lidcombe.

You then walk up and over the tracks via the overpass and walk back towards the city a couple of hundred metres to the Olympic Park sprint train which leaves every 10 minutes and takes about 8 minutes to get to Sydney Olympic Park station. Skoda stadium entrance is about a 200m walk from the train station exit. So if you already have your ticket you should be in your seat by 12:45. If you miss the 12:30 Olympic sprint you can catch the 12:40 and be in your seat by 12:55 for a 1:10 game.

The NSW supporters group will have a pre match function either at the Royal Exhibition Hotel which is about 15m from the southern entrance/exit of Central station probably between 10 and 12 noon or hire a room next to the ground - one of the Royal Agricultural Society buildings.

Keep this as a reference and use the trip planner. Use Central or which other CBD station your hotel might be closer to, Lidcombe and/or Olympic Park station in the relevant boxes.
