Count me in as non believer..........

I did it for about 5 minutes and then realised I was getting back into contact with people I stopped contacting for a reason...

I have played footy in every state in Australia with the exception of Tassie so i have met a truck load of idiots in my time. Some great people too but I have managed to stay in contact with the good ones.

I'm too busy with my ear to the mantle radio. Big Bob Francis still hasn't played my request from 1958.

We're sorry, Edward. You're right: Big Bob Francis is well over eighty.
My wife rang up Big Bob the other night, was most disappointed he didn't call her a dick brain.

Okay, I don't know how any of the shit REALLY works, but something is doing my head in here, after reading about all the whole Adelaide Oval, reserves, returning the licenses deal.

With the move to Adelaide Oval, SANFL became co-manager of the stadium. Presumably, this is because they hold the licenses to the AFL clubs who will be playing there.

But if they hand over the licenses, and therefore no longer do the AFL clubs answer to them, does that mean they will co-manage a stadium that they only use once a year (SANFL Grand Final)? That seems ridiculous.

If we had our licenses back before we went to Adelaide Oval, would the SANFL have still been a part of the SMA?

I'm all confused.

The licenses have nothing to with it really.
The SACAs and the SNAFLs are supposed to be the organisations that have the expertise to run their competitions and assets (Ovals) to better their respective sports and make a shyte load of money - but because both organisations were in debt to the tune of $Ms it's about the really old boys in the Adelaide Club giving the job to the younger boys in the Adelaide Club.

The main board is filled with people far too passionate about this to get a reasonable gauge:

Are we all in the same boat in thinking Jobe should keep his medal even though he unknowingly took the anti obesity thingamabob?

It's not like he took EPO or HGH... thoughts ?

I think he should keep it tbh, but the rules state he will probably lose it.

It'd be pretty shit for Mitchell and Cotchin to be retrospectively handed the Brownlow. I really wonder how they'd feel.

I don't know where I sit - if the players were found to have taken banned drugs, then I'm all for them getting suspended.

But I really don't think his Brownlow should be taken off him. His play deserved that medal and I don't think the drugs got him that medal, especially in a team that were all doing it and didn't even make the Finals.

He knowingly put a banned substance in his system = cheating.

No medal for you Jobe which is sad as he "seemed" a worthy medallist in word and deed.

Well he knowingly consented to a program set up by his football club. He didn't "knowingly" put a banned substance in his system.

If he is found guilty of using PEDs, there is no option but to take the medal. Letting him keep it is one of those irrational emotional/parochial arguments that seem to only occur in Aussie Rules and no other sport.

That's the Shane Warne defence and he copped a year.

Guys have been ruled ineligible for the Brownlow for very minor indiscretions on the football field.

Taking a banned substance to enhance your performance is much, much worse than a wayward tackle or a mis-timed bump.

It's a no brainer. He loses it. Cotchin and Mitchell win it retrospectively.
Same thing happens in Olympic events.
