You obviously do so I wont waste anymore of either of our valuable time....

I'm sure there is something on youtube but maybe it is just a picture of Cliff and the words being spoken.

Great bloody show though. I think it was the first ever American sitcom I liked.

Actually it might be the only one...

It strikes the perfect balance of genuine laughs, dad jokes, family and drama. It never needed to be rude, but wasn't afraid to be cheeky.

The pilot is sitcom perfection and the Season 5 finale had a dramatic impact that didn't need to be forced, simply using truth and honesty to farewell a beloved character.

The age old question isn't Diane or Rebecca though, it's Coach or Woody. Coach was incredible for his 3 seasons... but when Woody came into his own (such as his Kelly song), some of the greatest moments of Cheers happened.

I loved Coach.

There was a scene where the phone rang and he answered it and said hang on I'll check, called out the name and waited... Sam I think said errr thats you coach and he said ohh and picked up the phone to talk.

Possibly my favourite ever moment on tv.

I was worried when he left but Woody was awesome.

Haha yup, that's from the pilot! He also has another classic line in it:

Diane: "Where is your bathroom?"
Coach: "Uh, next to my bedroom."

May be just me but Cheers went downhill after Diane left and they started having more and more scenes take place outside the pub

My one day off, and it happens to clash with the drunk bogan neighbours day off, drunkenly stumbling their way through a repeat of Metallica and Creedence songs, before something new age and dance comes like Usher or whatever on and they suddenly manage to articulate every word and line like they wrote the damn thing, before going back to slurring their way through Good Golly Miss Molly, and "woo!"ing after every chorus.

I don't what I'd prefer, good songs being slaughtered by wooing and unnecessary expletives being inserted, or shit songs being shit songs being sung aloud to some level of competency...

Mostly I'd prefer a new 10 foot concrete electric fence and a soundproof home. And a shotgun.

These same bogans live with their mum who they make come knock on our door and has threatened the cops on me so many times for playing my own music/guitar/lawn mower/dad in law visiting and his XR8 idling out the front, because her poor poor boys work night shift.

I hate that moment when you say something and no one hears, so you say it again. And no one hears again.

I hate loud people.

It certainly changed the dynamic of the show - but they had already dived headfirst into outside the bar scenes by Season 4.

It lost that air of brilliance that made the show so powerful in the first place - the destruction of class in every day lives, but by and large - it definitely got more laugh out loud funny. Both eras have their place for sure.

Definitely, but I also think it moves further away from the like, everyday struggles of the characters and more in to the extreme and slapstick. In a way I think How I Met Your Mother has done the same, it use to have some dramatic punch to it, but that got left behind around season 4 I think in favour of cheap laughs and silly adventures and I don't watch it anymore.

One of my favourite scenes in any TV show was the part where Sam's brother was up, and he was begging Diane to stay with him at the bar under his breath, everytime she asked what he said he said nothing. Then the last part she does the same to him and throws him a look and they stare at each other for a while.

Coopers Pale Ale is my beer of choice.... But I bought a carton of James Squire Pale Ale.

Thoroughly enjoying it.

I've been drinking a bit of Coopers Stout this winter. Great stuff and inspired one of the great tv ads of all time.

So Triple M is our radio station at work played through the phones.

Ive joined the Music Jury to get some heavier stuff played more often. At least options to vote for Pantera, Megadeth, Tool etc are on there now.... Im fighting the good fight.

A bit pricey, but well worth it. Easily the best pale ale that's readily acquired (before someone weighs in with a 'Titwank Pale from the Skeetasheet Brewery of Mt Isa...').

I ate at the Cheers bar, good burgers.
They had a recommended tip (complete to the exact cent) on my bill, was not impressed.

Nice bar though, and the food was excellent.

May be just me, but I find a great gulf between Pantera's best and worst and the mediocrity in between

Yeah, that is standard in many countries. Its because they pay people about 5 dollars an hour.

You misunderstand me. I understand the process behind tipping, and was more than happy to tip generously to those who deserved it.

But I was told the general rule was 10%, and everyone I talked to agreed. My sticking point is that they calculated the exact amount, in dollars and cents, and put it very obviously on the bill.

I didn't like that.
