Hey Lockhart I went to Norwood High in the '60's when Ivan the Terrible was the principalThis is good to hear, Chevy -
One area that PAFC's 2014 membership drive will focus on is the east of Adelaide, with particular attention paid to the greater Norwood region.
A market-priced season package focused on bringing fans to Adelaide Oval will be on offer.
When I was a boy in the fifties and early sixties -living in Evandale and going to school at Wellington Road (Trinity Gardens today) and Norwood High - the Adelaide Oval was only a tram ride along Payneham Road into North Terrace, then a quick walk down King William Road and across the Torrens into the Oval.
No pain at all.
The pain in those days was reserved for Norwood's on-field lot, and a look at the SANFL ladder at the end of nine seasons out of ten would not have labelled the Norwood region as 'greater.'

I get the water inference but water is a visible liquid and can be seen especially when compacted eg earth..
but the gases are not visible even when compacted or we would see them in our atmospere eg oxygen
Wind comes from palm trees swaying back and forth.
Started a bit later in '67 so just missed you and left just after the school hall was finished in '71, most of the teachers you mention were still there. A few more were Berlin (french) was a bugger, Peglegs Prentice (latin) good teacher, Conway (maths) was ok, Miss Balwin didn't teach me- great legs walking through the yard, Ford was ok for some obsure one off media subject, Jamieson (economics) enjoyed him.Hey back, Dobie. I too remember Ivan. He was terrible.
First year Norwood High was 1960, the first year Penfold's Vineyard at top of Magill Road was cleared of vines enough to pluck 13-year-olds out of primary school and put them into long trousers.
1963 - secured Leaving Certificate, then left, joined Commonwealth Public Service, Repatriation Dept.
Teachers: C.C. Wilmott, Hayden (husband of Mrs H), Roberts the Redhead, Peake the Poodle.
Puppy Love interest: Miss EBERT the Student Teacher! She was a study alright.

Rexie J was also at Norwood High two years ahead of me.

Let's be honest here, no-one can ever or will ever prove how the world began. It's all just opinions. People can choose to believe whatever they want.

I didnt say faith was evidence its actually the biggest hole in creationism
my main point was each theory has just as much holes as the other as well evidence of each...

Really??? Thankfully i'm able to divorce the subjects of football and golf. If for example Boaky was a massive Tiger Woods fan then it wouldn't faze me.....even though Tiger is a self centred knob. Arguing with someone about their tastes in football teams is about as pointless as arguing with them about their taste in women. Each to their own.
A debate about religion......excellent. Must be nothing happening in politics.

Jill Daniels is that her current name?
At the start of the day we were talking about science![]()
Also Lockhart Road probably a discussion best had via PM. I'm not comfortable with people's names being thrown around who have no idea they are being discussed here.
Britain’s Prince Charles Might Be Related to Dracula
Yep, it seems Prince Charles just might be a descendant of the historical Dracula, also known as Vlad of Walachia, or to his more intimate associates, “Vlad the Impaler.” At least that’s what some historians think, and if you doubt the future monarch of Great Britain could ever be related to such a tyrant, Charles has even admitted the fact himself. He stated that genealogy has proven his kinship with the dastardly prince. Because of this, Charles once joked that he had, “A bit of a stake in the country (Romania).” Peasants being impaled by the thousands. Hilarious!
we are getting way away from the point of none can be proven and depending on your beliefs none hold more water then the other.... we can argue this until the cows come home but we will be argueing about some thing that has no resolution....That's so far from true, and indeed one is actually a theory and the other has not reached that level, as a class of understanding.
