It was a licensing thing, couldn't use real names.

So all the names were rhymes (M. Sailor = M. Taylor), bleedingly obvious (J. Dean = D. Jones, C. McDirt = C. McDermott) or headnoddingly clever (S. Mars = S. Waugh).

I used to love brian lara cricket for the sega. I remember my dad buying me it, and it came in a large tin cylinder, full of batsman and bowler shaped gummies and chocolates, along with some stickers and magazines. Shit was cash.

Fang was brutal from what I've heard... I played with some guys who played with him back in the day at Salisbury.

I found it impossible to hook him correctly, I wasn't quick enough to get on top of the ball & hook down, everything was either top edges, off the gloves or trying to catch up with the ball skying it.

I was coached by Trevor Chappell & Rex Sellers. Everything was right foot back & across in front of off stump then playing the ball on it's length by movement of the left foot, being tall helped this batting method because a big stride forward with my left was able to get a distance down the pitch.

Prior didn't seem to be a fan of that, unfortunately for me ...

No idea so I checked old mate wiki but with no luck. It did however remind me other gems such as I Hilly and P Tail.
