I feel the same way about most syntax, grammatical or spelling errors. Even the widely used substitution of your for you're and vice versa, the hypercorrection of using subject pronouns when object pronouns should be used (e.g. 'the gift was for Fred and I' ought to be 'the gift was for me and Fred') or not using the subjunctive mood when appropriate (e.g. 'I wish I was' ought to be 'I wish I were').I used to not like AmericaniZation, color and the like, but after teaching American English for like 10 years, now I really don't give a ****. It's a small difference, making a big deal about it is petty.
As long as there is full comprehension, shit like that don't matter.
