In the old days you could get on the 13B bus in Osborne and end up in Burnside 90 minutes later.

It was like travelling to another planet.

You can still pick up print copies of Viz. Local newsagents carry it but tend to run a couple of months behind as they're shipped to Australia via slow boat.

So I'm thinking about studying IT next semester. I have a degree and I'm four years into a career and I hate it so I'm thinking I'll change fields.

Any advice on IT courses, career opportunities in SA, the in-demand skills of the moment i.e. C++, cloud servers, database skills?

Analytics, Cloud Computing and Business Analyst roles are in high demand, especially IT Business Analysts. Depends on if you are into the technical side or the business side.

I just chucked on the first episode - first time i've gone backwards for this show, holy shit everything is so different. The boys club of Pete, Ken, Harry and Kinsey, and Sal to a lesser extent is interesting. Verrry different. Ken is still the best. (Ken...Cosgrove......Accounts)
