Fargo ends and Inspectator Montalbano starts with back to back nightly episodes.

I've never heard of those Star Wars characters

Thing is you can't look at it and say "this movie is only good because it's Star Wars" because you can't seperate the "not a masterpiece" and "Star Wars" parts. It's a pointless argument. It's all part of one package that makes it good or bad.

On its merits, I think it's alright. I've said it from the the start. However for mine it isn't anything genuinely top shelf just imo, and I'm a star wars fan.

I'm interested to see how it fairs once the hype dies down, probably better to judge after that. It does bother me that so much of the plot was borrowed from a new hope and this alone is quite poor. I reckon the film will be interesting to look back on as the next couple come out.

It basically had to be. They could have started again without borrowing any classic Star Wars story elements but would have risked alienating a fragile fan base.

Likely they'll branch out now, I highly doubt we're see The First Order Strikes Back.

Usually I'd agree, but not this year. My fiance is back in Adelaide getting a booster shot of family madness but I've been able to dodge that bullet because of work. So my Christmas will be a cruisey as f@#k double time and a half bludgefest followed by a 3 day powerbinge of beer, pizza and cricket.

I will tell my grandchildren about this Christmas.

I just watched Ex Machina. Great film. Oscar Isaac really is quite great. I'd known him from Drive but I didn't know who he was when I watched Star Wars, what with the loss of the huge beard.

Fargo ends and Inspectator Montalbano starts with back to back nightly episodes. SBS continuing to deliver in the off season. I would swap places with Montalbano. Live right on the beach, balcony to have a coffee or a meal looks out at the ocean, always eating fresh seafood at Enzo's right on the beach, cracks the tough cases and the great looking women always crack onto him.

I love the show but seriously why every time he rocks up to the police station there are a couple if uniform cops just hanging out the front doing nothing.

Wow. 5am for me. Bought one of those huge trampolines which I had to ensemble yesterday in 39 degree heat with a raging hangover. Daughter loves it, lad says he doesn't want it. Felt like booting him over the fence.

Text from our daughter saying same about our granddaughter (minus dead bit). 2 weeks short of 3 and the first Christmas she actually understood all the palaver and was excited. Her parents have been up for hours waiting for her to go through all that magical 'waking up and discovering Santa has been' stuff and she just sleeps on on Xmas morning.
