Received a new car delivered on Christmas Eve from Gympie (2 hours from Brisbane) as that is where I got the best deal.

Young car salesman has driven down in it, running very late due to traffic, storms etc. sorted out the paperwork and handed him the keys to our trade in, which he was taking to a suburb 15 mins away for Christmas Eve dinner before heading to Gympie the next morning.

Brief chat between wifey and I about tolls on the old car for the return trip and the likely 5-6 buck cost, but thought all good.

Sunday night get a call from the local cop station advising our car is close to 50m up a bike path after going through the vehicle bollards, heavily damaged, likely write off and indications are that it went between the bollards with no brakes on doing close to 100kmh.

Car is a wreck and about foot and a half skinnier than it used to be. Salesperson has been avoiding cops and his employer, sending cryptic text messages and FB updates, but not being helpful.

Since the car was technically handed over to the sales guy, it shouldn't really be your problem, stating the obvious but the salesperson got pissed and wrecked the car.

Yeah he was empowered to act as agent of the employer, its the car guys problem now

Oh yeah, it is all good.

They lodged the transfer papers that day after I transferred the cash. THe cops had a note in their system that a transfer was started, just not completed as of yet (effective date was all good).

Just bizarre to have that happen. Dealership said they had known the guy for a few years and was a good operator, but lately, after mixing it up in rural NSW with some 'friends' he was having a couple of issues.....looks like he has a lot more to deal with too.

So I was a dummy and waited to get a guest pass for the cricket

Any chance anyone on here has a spare?

Will pay $$

Just went over to the Cows page to find something interesting.. my mistake.

Watching Inspector Montatalbano on SBS - there is a touch of the Dean Bailey about him, from when Bails had lost all his hair to cancer treatment. A certain strained face thinking about a serious situation reminds me of Bails.

My housemate is going out to buy a $3-400 Kylo Ren light-saber replica tomorrow.
How do I tell him its the biggest waste of money he will ever spend? I know what he is like as well it will literally sit in the corner of his room and gather dust, he wont even display it at all.

I've come to accept that fireworks are an inevitable part of life, so on this New Year's Eve I have but one message - If you're going out please leave your dogs inside the house. And if you absolutely must leave them outside please make sure the yard is secure. Dogs hate fireworks. It freaks them out, they try to run, and sometimes they get hit by cars. Please look after your little rascals tonight. Peace out.

I hope my back fence neighbour is reading this.
