If it was up to me I would have only a small celebration, nothing fancy and certainly nowhere near as expensive. I don't even remember the last time I celebrated my own birthday as I hate being the center of all attention and I'd much rather have a drink with a few friends only. My fiancé, however, insisted on quite a big celebration - and unfortunately, she won. Haha. At least I made her give up the idea of getting married in church. I'm not even baptized and though I mean no disrespect to religious people, it's just not my thing. And I would rather not start my married life by lying to a priest when he asked me if I would raise my kids in the Christian faith.
Instead we'll be having an outdoors wedding in quite a nice place, but I despair every time a new cost comes up. I had no idea it would be that ******* expensive!

This weekend I spoke to the guy who'll DJ the party. I only made one demand to him - he must play this song:

Getting married is way too ******* expensive.
Neither my partner or I could fathom spending huge money on a wedding so we went on a holiday to the US and tied the knot whilst there. Was a wedding and honeymoon in one. The parents weren't heaps chuffed with the idea but they got over it.
Yeah this idea has been floated for me and my missus, but the parents also wouldn't be happy.
Also I would feel a bit wrong seeing as I've been to a few weddings and part of a few grooms parties and wouldn't be able to return the favour.
...marriage is between two people...
Get used to it.- and unfortunately, she won.
Yes, already paid a small fortune for someone the missus chose to do thatDo you require filming and editing services?
Haha that might prove a little harder to convince them to play, but I can tryAnd TISM![]()

Maybe we should band together and get you sent a signed Port footy!! Make it happen BF brethren!!Haha that might prove a little harder to convince them to play, but I can try
One thing I forgot to mention is that the missus agreed (and actually quite liked the idea) of having a small 'sports' decoration in one piece of furniture where couples usually put pictures of themselves and cheesy stuff like that. Instead I'll pick items from my favorite sports (such as a baseball) and I intend to get something from each of the teams I follow in the many sports I watch.
I'm trying to find a miniature aussie rules ball to put in one of the shelves and something nice to represent Port. Any suggestions are welcome
