Pineapple is great on pizza, but I'd be almost as unlikely to order a Hawaiian as a Meatlovers. While I'm at it, people who ask for barbecue sauce instead of tomato paste should be fired into the sun. ;)

My homemade standard is:

Pepperoni
Cherry tomatoes
Red onion
Pineapple
Chili flakes
Fresh basil

Unbeatable.

I agree with you there on bbq sauce.

People who prefer BBQ sauce on pizzas don't actually like pizzas in the same vein that people who drink corona don't actually like beer.

What about people that drink Fosters?

This. The BBQ is what kills Meatlovers.

I used to be a no BBQ sauce on pizza guy until I took a punt not unlike grabbing the red pill off Morpheus and ordered the Dominos Hickory BBQ Pulled Beef that comes in the square box one night.

It's now my go-to for late night hunger/cry for help.

My homemade pizza is:
base, which is some sort of a bread thing(used to make my own yeast dough, but now to lazy)
Olive oil
tomato paste
mozzarella, or vintage cheddar, maybe both
champignons
olives, black are better
pineapple
bacon bits
capsicum
bits of chopped onion
pepperoni or salami
cabana
heaps more cheese on top

I'm a strict carnivore when it comes to my pizza, the more loaded with meat the better and some mixed herbs in with the cheese helps a little.

Homemade meatlovers is the go, brown some mince in a fry pan and add it first up after you've sauced the base then add everything else heart attack related n' whack it in the oven

Olives are a must, as well an onion and mushroom.

My favourite budget pizza is a $5 beef n mushroom from Dominos, add chilli flakes and red onion.

Discourse: Bacon. Don't like it on anything. Only good by itself or as a part of a meal, rather than an ingredient in another article of food.

Too much meat on a pizza just creates a stodgy mishmash of flavour. Pizza needs contrasts!
I definitely don't disagree, and when I really want to experience pizza, it certainly doesn't contain bbq sauce and mass amounts of meat.

However, a lot of the time I just want devour a disgusting, meat riddled, chilli flaked, bbq flavoured, round thingy.

Now I'm hungry.

Tentatively agree with this, actually.

Its Pizza you bloody snobs, unless you're having it from a wood oven at a proper Pizza joint/home it all tastes the same.

I used to have a small woodfire pizza oven i bought at Neds down Victor but could never get pizza quite right, they would never cook evenly, it may have been because it was a cheap one but it did look the same as ones that cost a few hundred dollars more. It made awesome baked spuds though.

So, you don't do bacon and eggs? By the way egg on pizza is a vile disgust

Bought base.
Tomatoe mix - in a whizzer put: garlic clove, two tomatoes, two big spoons tomatoe paste, fresh basil leaves, dried oregano, asafoetida (msg) powder, pinch stock powder.
Lots of fresh basil
Lots of kalamata olives
Danish feta
Small amount of pineapple
Cheese mix: equal parts any nice tasty, mozzarella, freshly grated high quality parmesan
Little splashes of tomatoe mix on top
Dried oregano on top of that

Serve with a nice salad with good olive oil, balsamic vinegar and whole grain mustard dressing.

****ing delicious.

Tomato Paste
Cheese
Stuffed Olives
Cherry Tomatoes
Red Onion
Salami/Pepperoni/whatever you want to call it
Mushrooms
Anchovies
Capsicum
Bit of ground or minced beef to fill the gaps
Bit of garlic seasoning

My favourite pizza though is a spaghetti bolognese pizza. Two of my favourite dishes combined. I'm a long way removed from the Italian heritage but gee I love a good pasta. My uncles partner is from a legit Aussie-Italian family that make their own sauce and wine and say Nonna and those other quaint things that Australians find unusual because we don't really have a culture, he says he has not eaten pasta since moving out and doesn't care to for the rest of his life. I was aghast. I would probably be a great big heffer if I was being fed pasta every night. The coffee however didn't sound as inviting.
