My favourite pizza though is a spaghetti bolognese pizza. Two of my favourite dishes combined. I'm a long way removed from the Italian heritage but gee I love a good pasta. My uncles partner is from a legit Aussie-Italian family that make their own sauce and wine and say Nonna and those other quaint things that Australians find unusual because we don't really have a culture, he says he has not eaten pasta since moving out and doesn't care to for the rest of his life. I was aghast. I would probably be a great big heffer if I was being fed pasta every night. The coffee however didn't sound as inviting.

Pizza is actually French, pasta is originally from China, when you get down to the bare bones of it Italy actually has nothing but borrowed culture they enhanced...just like us

What exactly about our culture have we enhanced from it's origin? Except for Beer, which I assume we got from the poms, who got it from the Germans or something?

Apparently we're known for the flat white. From the BBC News App:

Which I thought was the default worldwide milk coffee, but apparently not.

Everyone here thinks its just run of the mill till they go overseas with Starbucks everywhere and you can't get a normal coffee without some serious legwork.

A flat white is pretty much a caffe latte sans a cm of foam. I'm surprised it's a considered a seperate thing to begin with.

Italians are notorious cultural kleptomanics, they'll even take the shit that doesn't exist! Just look at the Catholic Church or Roman Mythology, blatant rebrands of the originals.

Vegetarian pizza > Meatlovers. Come at me campaigners
Port Power est 1996 > Port Adelaide est 1870 as well i assume ?

Bit of both actually. Brewing in the colony was commenced soon after arrival so most directly from the British. It is hard though to trace the origins of European brewing. However it is known that the Germanic regions were the first to use hops with the English holding out quite late to accept their use in ales preferring to continue the use of various herbs such as horewood and bog myrtle.

**** me that latest SportsBet Ad is literally everything I ****ing hate about AFL culture wrapped up into 30 seconds.
