Well I'm taking it to the mechanic tomorrow to get it checked out. Im just looking for different scenarios tbh. Im assuming it will cost between 400-500.

Just one thought on the star wars saga.

The female characters are absolutely amazing. Rogue one is no exception. She was an amazing character very memorable. Leia Rey and Jyn very impressionable and lasting.

Padme is the only real dud so far.

Rey and Jyn were quite boring

Have issues with Rey but no problems with Jyn. PS you forgot one.

Damn it was good. I really wanna go again tomorrow night, but I risk putting myself in the bad books with the missus. Seriously weighing up the pros and cons...

I said padme was a dud.

Why don't you like Rey? I think her character and Kylo really nailed the whole immature with the force yet rebuilding the balance quite well.

I just rewatched TFA tonight. It didn't grow on me, but nor did it get worse.

She knows everything and succeeds in everything. She has a small moment of weakness but other than that shes damn near indestructible. Unlike Jyn, she hasn't been trained to be a warrior. She's grown up alone collecting junk, yet is an excellent pilot, mechanic, fighter, duelist, marksman, and force user. Her tough exterior is never challenged, she has less depth to her so far than Rambo. The following exchange summed it up in a nutshell.

EDIT; corrected quote from IMDB

Han Solo: You might need this.
[passes a blaster to Rey]
Rey: I think I can handle myself.
Han Solo: I know you do. That's why I'm giving it to you. Take it. You know how to use one of those?
Rey: Yeah. You pull the trigger.
Han Solo: Little bit more to it than that. You got a lot to learn.

Except there isn't and she doesn't need to, after that she hits everything she shoots at.

I didn't think she came off indestructible. There was a hint that she trained in the force before being abandoned. Her being alone on that tough planet scavenging etc your going to be tough and trained in those areas you mentioned to survive.

Though Majority people are excellent mechanics in this universe.

Kylo couldn't beat her because he was just as immature with the force as she was. You can tell by the way they both fought in the lightsabre battle it wasn't skillful at all. Kylo's lightsabre is also a sign of his immaturity with the force as it is an obselte model.

But you absolutely on the money with Jyn.

She looked like, 5 years old when she was abandoned.

A good point, but she isn't just good at fixing ships. She does everything that requires some sort of technical know how.

No, Kylo says "the force", next minnit Rey turns in to Luke Skywalker at the end of Return of the Jedi when he opens up on Vader. She also force pulls the sabre to her with such force it makes Luke look like a chump, compared to him attempting the same thing in the wampa cave.

Broken clocks and all

One thing with the lore of the movie, even if you aren't trained in the force but if you have it so to speak your reaction agility etc is superior in comparison to people who don't have it. It's how they select who becaomes Jedi or not by the potential they show. All Rey did was show potential.

It's why annakin was such a good pilot to quote Qui gon Jinn "you have to have the reflexes of a Jedi to pilot a pod racer" and he was about 7 and untrained.

They didn't explain everything about Rey which is why I believe their is a few holes in her back story. But her showing in TFA does align with the lore of force users.

Have a look at Kylo and Rey's fight it was awkward but purposely done that way.

Anakin was literally conceived by the force.

I don't think so, it comes to her far too easily and demystifies the force. Whilst it will always give gifted users an advantage in a few things, like reflexes, it straight up invaded her without waiting for her to ask if it wants to come inside, before you know it shes pulling off mind tricks, and shutting out Kylo, something a hardened and trained Rebel agent couldn't manage.

Jedi are selected on potential. They all have to show something in the force to become a Jedi.

To me that's all Rey did. It wasn't trained and still raw.

If she came against someone like snoke, she would of got whooped.

We don't know that because we know SFA about Snoke. More heavy lifting JJ has left for the next guy.
Lol true.

I guess it's all up in the air until we know about Rey more.

The next spin off is going to be a treat if this one is anything to go by.

The knights of Ren. The back story of Kylo and the knights who defectived against Luke and his family. I also think they are doing a movie on Han solo.

Han Solo is confirmed for next spin off, I'm not keen at all. Already had four movies with Han. Anything further is both incredibly unoriginal and shameless nostalgia whoring. A shame because Rogue One has set such a high bar.

An Obi-Wan spin off is also building momentum. Equally not interested.

I don't mind it, they paid 4 billion for the franchise they have recoup somehow I guess.

The Han solo and chewy adventures could be interesting viewing I will be there day 1 for it. I am a tragic.

Yes, they can do whatever they like with it, but not all of it will appeal to me. I'm sure they won't lose any sleep over that.

They've cast Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones in the Han Solo movie - of which Disney has contracted the guy playing Han for at least three movies so it's going to be more of a Han Solo trilogy with it's own story set between the events of Episode III and Rogue One.

When Han says "Kid, I've been from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff..." We'll finally be able to see exactly what 'strange stuff' he's talking about. And why he believes the Force is just 'simple tricks and nonsense' and that 'hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster by your side'.

Actually I'm pretty certain that 'Jedi' get selected on their acting ability and how little the producer can get away with paying them, and if Rey came up against someone like Snoke her fate would still be whatever the writers and producers wanted it to be.

You guys do realize this IS a movie right? [emoji41][emoji2]

(From someone who has NEVER seen an entire Star Wars franchise movie all the way thru. Can we get back to discussing Something footy related now?) [emoji41][emoji12]
