ADELAIDE assistant coach Ben Hart is exploring his options at rival clubs while development coach Ryan O'Keefe is also out of contract at the end of season.

Hart and O'Keefe are among 13 names on the AFL Coaches' Association's list of assistant coaches who are unsigned for next year and looking at other opportunities

Oh shit.

If Hart and O'Keefe are the only out of contract coaches at the AFC, that means Campo is contracted!

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

No, you are right , his results are not the reason most want him moved on. Some might argue with you over that but most , like myself, think assistants have a use by date.

Sure its harsh and moving on a very good assistant can be counterproductive but as far as I recall Campo has always managed the midfield. Stand to be corrected on that. Imagine all those players hearing the same instructions, the older ones snoozing through etc.

Fresh ideas fresh voices

Yeah I agree. It could be said that Campo has been in the same position too long. It doesn't mean that he has to be shafted out. He could be moved to another area of the club. I read someone suggested moving him onto coaching the SANFL team and that might be a good idea. In most large business'es people tend to be moved around either into a totally new position witin the business or relocated but still doing the same type of job.

Tom Rehn said on his sports report on tv that he’s hearing whispers of Sumich at AFC next year.
Sumich & Rutten??? Could we???

Ahh, so... Campo… off to SANFL (dreaming), or snr assistant? and Francou into mid, Sumich into forward role and Rutten into defence... problem solvered. [emoji106]

Or Sumich into Burton’s role?

This is what we should be doing. We need external influences. I don’t know if these 2 are the ones, but more ex-Crows adds nothing.
Understand but it really depends on the individual and his performance. Rutten appears to be doing everything right at Richmond so the fact that he is an ex crow wouldn't deter me. Now with Ben Hart thats a different story. He didnt appear to have much success at Collingwood so like most here I reckon he got a job as one of the boys. Thats the type of recruiting we dont want.
