TEAM

B: Wellman, Fletcher, McVeigh
HB: McPhee, Lucas, Welsh
C: Ramanauskas, Solomon, Winderlich
HF: Rioli, Hille, Hird
F: M.Johnson, Lloyd, Murphy
R: Allan, Peverill, J.Johnson
INT: Lovett-Murray, Bradley, Bolton, Alvey
EM: Misiti, Richards, Stanton

IN: Winderlich, Bradley
OUT: Bullen, Misiti (omitted)

NB: Richards to play if Lucas is rubbed out

Bullen must be in the reserves next week, Alvey would hardly feel comfortable with his spot in the side as well, while Misiti is a chance of being dropped.

One of Bradley or Richards must come in and Jason Winderlich...

Cupido played well against the Hawks last year and is a possibility, however I think he needs to get into shape (physically and mentally) before returning to the Essendon side.

IN: Bradley
OUT: Bullen

Bradley's played well in the 2s for 3-4 weeks in a row now and should be rewarded; I'd also like to see us start developing another key tall. I think it is a major weakness coming up against the better sides.

I'd name Licha & Richards as emergencies.

Sheeds says he's making changes, but I don't see him making more than one or two.

I don't think Lucas has anything to worry about.

id go with....

B: Wellman Fletcher McVeigh

HB: McPhee Bolton Welsh

C: Rama Solomon Murphy

HF: Hird Lucas Rioli

F: Lovett Murray Lloyd Cupido

R: Allan JJ MJ

INT: Alvey, Misiti, Hille, Peverill

- I think it could work to have 3 midfielders on the bench so Sheeds could somewhat rotate the midfield so these bastards dont get tired and stop manning up

IN: Winderlich

OUT: Bullen

Lucas report was withdrawn so he will play i reakon we will see

Out Bullen and Misiti
In Winderlich and Bradley
we may as well try and stretch thier smallish defence as much as possible... Licha adds pace all that really worries me is the fact they are prob better in the clearences than us which has been our strong point, without Crawf we should be ok though.

Those two statements match up very very badly.

Misiti is a clearance expert, and Hawks midfield is not particularly quick.

you've named laycock not winderlich, which is who i want to see play
OUT: Bullen, Hille
IN: Laycock, Stanton

hille has done SFA in the last couple of games and needs to be dropped a) to put a rocket up his ass and b) to give Laycock a senior game and see what he's capable of

Agree in part with that Doug, but, having seen him a fair bit this year, I would say "Chook" hasn't displayed the consistency in the 2's to warrant a start as yet. On the other hand, Bradley's form in the last 5-6 weeks has been fantastic and should be rewarded.
i realise that bradley has the better form, but if hille is dropped he needs to be replaced with a capable back-up, and at this stage Laycock in the ruck is a better prospect then Bradley basically because of Bradley's lack of development. If Hille gets dropped the only option is Laycock, but if we want to bring in another tall up forward or in defence it would have to be bradley on the back of VFL form. Also just personally i want to see Laycock get the chance as this is his second year, would be good to see him step-up and a taste of AFL football may promote this.
Also, don't rule out the distinct possibility of both players being overlooked in favour of Henneman, who has always been in our best 22 in sheedys mind

In. Bradley
Out. Bullen

Bradley now deserves a spot in the league team after 4 or 5 consistent games in the reserves although Richards as usual can count himself unlucky.

Bullen as everyone has been saying for the past 3 weeks needs a full game in the VFL.
If a tall drops out before the game Richards to come in. If a smaller player drops out Stanton to come in.
I don't want too see too many changes this week though.
