So in July of this year I decided to re-watch every episode from seasons 1-11 in order. I've never done it before even though I've been watching the Simpsons basically my whole life. Last night I finished Season 5. Out of those first 5 seasons, here are my favourite episodes. I could list even more but I had to cull a few or else it'd be exhaustive.

Anything before season 3 is terrible to watch now. You'd expect that since that was a bloody long time ago
I wouldn't say that the first couple seasons were terrible at all and still holds up pretty well. The show just had a bit of a different tone and hadn't hit its stride yet.

Season 4 is missing the Treehouse of Horror, which is, in my opinion at least, the best ToH, notable for "Zombie Flanders".Whacking Day and A Streetcar Named Marge are also both excellent, andLisa's First Word is a personal favourite of mine. But season 4 is flawless, so kudos for being able to limit it down as opposed to simply listing each episode in order of personal appeal, which no one would hold against you form doing so.
As for Season 5, almost as flawless as season 4, I noticed Deep Space Homer as a notable absence, as are Homer and Apu, Cape Feare and Marge on the Lam, they latter being my favourite Lionel Hutz episode.
Pretty good list all around with those few exceptions, imo.
