Such a huge amount of Australians fit into this neat little box, it's remarkable. I'm right there with you btw.Started watching from season 2, the glory seasons of roughly season 2 - 10, so much nostalgia.
People talk about life before the internet, there's now two generations of people who can't remember life without the Simpsons.Such a huge amount of Australians fit into this neat little box, it's remarkable. I'm right there with you btw.
I'm a fan of season 4 mainly due to Rosebud and Last Exit to Springfield.

I still have 3 of those Hungry Jacks talking figurines from when the movie came out. 1 of them is still talking, guess the other 2 have flat batteries (picture added for clarification, not my figurines)People born when the first Simpsons Movie came out are studying for their Year 12 exams right now!

It wasn't even in my top 10 list before I went through an Orson Welles binge at uni. This is another layer of the Simpsons that keeps on giving, as you get older and exposed to more world events and media throughout history, some episodes take on another life.Rosebud is brilliant.
So much gold in that timeframe.
Funny you mention that.We try to limit screen time for my eldest but I couldn't help but smile when he chose to watch The Simpsons when staying at my parents recently. My old man even said he never paid attention when I was watching in the past, and that the show is actually quite funny. But Dad can probably understand the pop culture references that Mr. Burns makes.

All the voices are shot to hell. Marge's is the most obvious. I mean fair enough - Julie Kavner is 75 and that voice is probably the most taxing one of all of them to do - but unless they go to A.I generated voices and the problems that THAT poses they're eventually going to have to re-cast or call it quits. On a flight recently and they had a few episodes from season 35.
I was about to watch but then they bought out the meals and I feel asleep after that.
I saw a video of Hank Azaria reading Born to Run by Springsteen in all the character voices he does. Some of them require a fair amount of work and look taxing as hell. All the voices are shot to hell. Marge's is the most obvious. Mind you, they are only doing them for brief moments at a time.
