Why in hell would they sack Jose? They are coming 1st in the league and look like staying there...they have the squad to win the title and they are finally reaching their potential.

WorldCup2022OZ - Real are looking the more likely to win the title at this stage...think before you post...he cannot cope with 1 team who have the best player in the world, etc, every manager is going to struggle against a team like Barca, but Real are taking their chances against the other sides, hence why they are 1st. Barca are not and find themselves in 2nd.

Real will sack Mourinho if he does not win either La Liga or Champions League. That's just how things go at the circus that Real Madrid is. In terms of the league, they are looking good but there is a long way to go. I expect Barca to take 3 points against them at the Bernabeu so it will be very close.

I think Real will be undone in the CL with their poor defending in the latter stages. They had it far too easy in the group stage. I don't see why everyone thinks that Mourniho is such a good manager, at Real he is being dominated by Guardiola and at Chelsea he was dominated by Benitez. Not like he has built a squad from scratch with kids on a low budget like Ferguson.

If you'd know/care more about tactics, you'd understand Guardiola has actually been tactically outplaying Mourinho numerous times now. I've given you that link last time around, there's some brilliant reading on there about the games, not in the least about yesterday's game.

It's not as simple as saying "hey Barca is a better team". Mourinho did better against us late last season than he is doing now. Guardiola has learnt from the past as well. So may Mourinho (and then may Guardiola again, and so on...), but it's not as black and white as you think.

You think it's easy to go to the Bernabeu and get a result against this current Real Madrid? They're probably the 2nd best team in Europe.

pep doesnt get the recognition he deserves cos he's isnt a loud-mouthed tool like jose. pep has been able to get the very best out of some very special players, which is much easier said than done

Unlike my mob Inter a couple of seasons back in the Champions League, I don't think his current Real Madrid side is built to beat Barcelona.

It all starts with a very strong defense and especially with Pepe at the back, you can never trust a player like him. Also Real don't have a Sneijder/Milito combination like we did. We were built perfectly to beat Barcelona. Extremely strong defense with a three man midfield of Zanetti, Cambiasso and Motta. Limited the space the likes of Xavi and Iniesta could use.

Pepe doesn't play at the back against us but as a DM. Well, as a guy who just tries to kick the shit out Messi or pretty much anyone really.

Also, it's a bit tricky to compare these games to the Inter ones. We're a considerably stronger side now (just compare our last 2 lineups with those from 2 years ago), Iniesta was missing at the time and when we travel to Madrid the players don't need to sit in a bus across the Alps for 2 days.

I saw the replay this morning, he didn't even get touched in the face, went down clutching his eye, the crowd were booing for Barca to put it out, Barca held up for a bit, then Iniesta finally succumbed and put it out.

True but if they win on Wednesday, and they could, the situation will change immediately.

Behind all the fuss and fluster we are half way through the season and Mourinho's charges are 5 points clear and bookies favs for la Liga. Madrid would be well advised to cool the pressure in these by now tediously regular match ups and concentrate on the big picture. They are likely to get "their" championship back.

Real Madrid fans are proud, arrogant and extremely demanding.

This is not just about winning la liga, this is about being better than Barcelona, which is not going to happen by playing 7 defensive minded players at home. The fans, and clearly also some of the players (Benzema practically literally said there was no one in midfield to give him a proper pass and Ramos said something like "well all we did was follow the coach's instructions"), want the team to have a real go at Barcelona by attacking rather than park the bus, hoof long balls to CR and kick Messi.

I have no idea why he keeps leaving Kaka on the bench. Past his best and all that, yes, but he's been good against us every single time as far as I remember. Instead he had a midfield of Pepe (chasing Messi), Diarra (chasing Xavi) and Alonso (chasing Iniesta). At home! That while simultaneously he pathetically tries to ridiculise those who call Barcelona the best team in the world .

Some of the Barca haters seem to be so happy with the 5 points Madrid has on us. Happier than the Real fans themselves if you ask me.

By the way, the article suggests it wasn't Mourinho who was being booed directly, but rather the fans who were chanting his name.
