What's with the constant booing at Subiaco? Do they spend any time watching the actal game? It must be hard when you are putting so much effort into booing at the top of your voice.

Having travelled to Subiaco every year for the past 6, I find that WCE supporters are way different in the way they support and barrack compared to the East Coast. Probably has something to do with being so dominant in the Stadium, but they just seem to be on another planet and any friendly banter as you would have at the G just does not compute with them. Never forget when we trounced them by 70 odd points in 2008 I think it was, I was walking out of the ground with a Club Director and this little kid just kept yelling at us that Richmond were cheats! Pure cheats! Amazing.
And even when we have a pregame stretch by the Swan River at Langley Park, prior to travelling to Subi, people often come out on the balconies of the nearby apartments and yell abuse. It's just weird.

Have never been to a game there, but did a long stint of travel writing for a few months in WA. The amount of times I got 'You Vics are shit at football' was astonishing. I thought by retorting with 'Yeah that's OK, we just invented it' would diffuse the situation, but it only made it worse.
I'm not having a go at West Aussies in general because I had a wonderful time there. But when it comes to footy they are very protective to the point of being irrationally so.

Hate free to air Saturday night games. I can't watch because I despise Brian Taylor's commentary so much. It's almost unhealthy how much I hate him.

Been to at least one day of each of the last three tests and found it thoroughly enjoyable. One of those was corporate which helped

Eagles supporters are arrogant one eyed twits while dawkers are somewhat more feral -probably prefer going to dawkers games for crowd response but more satisfying beating the eagles!!

On a side note, I bought a $25 ticket to see the Utah Jazz vs LA Clippers on December 3. I will be in SLC. I don't like basketball, but thought 'what the hell.

The Clippers are one of the most exciting teams to watch when up and going, with a couple of really athletic bigs and a star point guard. If they bring their best there will be lots of high flying action from Griffin and Jordan.

I have heard they are pretty decent.
I was fortunate enough to see the Clippers vs Knicks at Madison Square Garden (Clippers won easy, but it was also the night when the team that had lost 23 in a row won, so everyone was watching the scoreboard and waiting for that game's scores to click over).
PS: when I say I don't like basketball, that's not actually true. I like all sports if it is the best standard in the world, and NBA is the best so I will enjoy it. I just don't follow it much.
