Richmond is the worst club in existance, any body can win a premiership with good recruiting zones (by good fortune) and an unlimited salary cap. Its obvious why richmond cant repeat this effort in the even playing field that is the AFL despite still having a comparative advantage in members thus revenue and footy department spending.

Richmond is the shittest club of all time bar none, 1 dog's premiership won with little spending under duress is worth over 100 Richmond cups won with significant ease. This is why I chose to support a successful club in essence and not an utter steaming pile of shit that is shitmound.

INTERESTING re recruiting zones. When zoning was introduced Richmond was filthy it was allocated the relative 'lightweight' areas of Sunraysia and North Central. Reason being, the Tigers were diligently and cleverly recruiting the best players from across Victoria, be it Ovens and Murray, Goulburn Valley, Sunraysia, Western Border etc. Zoming was brought in to supposedly even this up, but Richmond being Richmond at the time, managed to work their zone better than most. But Sunraysia and North Central were hardly powerhouse leagues back in the day, nor are they now!!!
So we decided to get clever at interstate recruiting.
Common knowledge a lot of guys joined the Tigers in the 70s for not a lot of cash!
Good ol' Bulldogs ... always the 'poor ol's us' mentatlity!!
