Re: Feeling Special?

Thought I'd mention a few things in here instead of starting a new thread.

1. We have 5 players that are a genuine chance to make the all Australian team... Deledio, Cotchin, Ivan, Jack and Rance. When was the last time we even had 2 players make the same AA team?

2. Trent Cotchin has become 4th or 5th favorite for the Brownlow at the majority of betting agencies. I don't think he can win it this year but next year... Look out.

3. We are paying $12 to win the premiership with the TAB, equal 6th favourites. It's things like this that make me hate the tab, they profit millions every year but are to afraid to give half decent odds. We haven't made the finals in 11 years, have some balls tab!
*Not that I would put any money on us, unless we were paying $50+

4. Is anyone going to any of the interstate games this year?
I'm flying up to the Adelaide game, here's hoping we win the next two quite comfortably and are 7-5 inside the top 8 coming off 4 wins in a row, should be a cracker!
I reckon Cotchin is a massive chance.

I am going to GWS in two weeks and then the Freo game in August. I love interstate trips. I have a pretty good record at them too.

Re: Feeling Special?

I'm doing every interstate trip. They are quite easy from NZ, other than the cost, as most are Saturday afternoon or night. Will see you at GWS Tug, and the cruise afterward from Homebush. If we don't win we might go swimming with the sharks!

Re: Feeling Special?

For those gamblers out there who might have some spare cash to throw around, this may tempt you:

Jack - Coleman $2.50
Cotchin - Brownlow $13
Richmond - Top 8 $1.20
Richmond - Premiers $13

As a multi its paying $507 on TABSportsbet. Quite tempted to throw a lazy $10 on it.

$1.20 for the top 8 is ridiculous odds. We should be out to somewhere near $3 at least.
Carlton are at $1.90 Geelong $1.75 Saints $1.80 Essendon $1.20 to make the 8. Looks like the army has got well and truly on board.

Currently offering $6 to make the GF as well.

Might as well start ordering my Ferrari right now! :p

All those odds RT are ridiculous unders, you'd be mad to load up on any of them, let alone in a multi.

Besides surely you can't chuck top 8 into premiers as a bet?
I'm not a gambler, but someone mentioned that Cotchin was into 4th fav for the Brownlow so I was having a look at some odds. Thought I would play around with a multi and see what happened. The odds may well be unders but as I said for someone who isn't a regular gambler and isn't going to be fussed by spending $10, its worth a flutter.

IF we beat Freo and Gws. We will be 7-5 and in the top 8. Our odds to miss the finals will be about $5.50 or more... As much as I hate to say it, I'll definitely be putting some money on that. I think we can make finals but we are a 50/50 chance as best. You'll need to win 13 games and have a healthy percentage to make the finals this year. We are $4 to miss the finals right now which are crazy odds. We are 10th.

We were only ever around $5 preseason, and I think even after rd1 didn't blow too much. Market is now just extrapolating current form with remaining draw, which (if it holds) makes the 8 a certainty. Of course we know that form will waver at some point (hope not, but..), which may make $1.20 look silly.
I'm on at the preseason quote and will cover if we win the next two (betfair).

Does anyone know if non-members can buy tickets for the Adelaide game? I'm a member but I have three friends coming that aren't? Thanks.

On Betfair we are $1.40 for the top 8, $21s for the Premiership, Cotchin is $17s for the brownlow, Riewoldt $2.92 for the Coleman.

Even $1.40 is ridiculous for the top 8 though. We should be even money at best!

Did anyone see the excitement around Melbournes win and think "I dont ever want to go back to that".

Wallaces win against Adelaide.
Gieshens win against Carlton before getting the big gig.
Frawley win against Hawthorn where all of his hometown were in the rooms.

Its strange that Bailey had the same win last year against Essendon and smashed the glass with his fist and had almost identicle scenes with the players.

Suprised that Neeld didnt just stay in the box and celebrate quietly rather than produce something identicle.

I messaged IDGAF on Saturday night and said exactly the same thing. They remind me so much of the bad Richmond that it is freakingly scary.

Melb style did remind of the wallace adelaide game, not sustainable
