Low transfer fee means we can pay more wages. 5year contract is a good length as well. Also we need to make the wages more enticing to convince him to leave Barca.

Yep, apparently Rooney wants Fergie and the club to apologise to him and the fans for a misunderstanding. I just don't think SAF would've lied when he said Rooney handed in another request. I'm sure we will find out soon enough, but I reckon Rooney will be a Chelsea player next season.
