This anti-Hawthorn umpire fiasco has coincidentally taken off with our most recent success, the threepeat. In 2012 and 2013, I cant remember people complaining about umpiring and how they favoured Hawks. After we won 2014, people were like hmmm these Hawthorn pricks are just too good lets start nit picking this and that. Well after 2015 the very first reaction, from nuetrals and Geelong supporters, was these mother****as are going to win 2016. We must discredit them in any way, shape or form.

Lets just blame the umpires, that helps us feel better because admitting these Hawks are just too bloody good hurts us and our precious feelings. I urge all supporters reading this, who are actually getting cut by this, not to react and fall for the bait. Just send a meme of a salty tears picture- it works a treat.

For those supporters who get a laugh out of it, like me, enjoy the show. Let the meltdown continue friends these are great times. If Hawthorn do the fourpeat it might just break the internet.
You mean like this?

Nice work GG. Any chance you could dig up similar stats over the past 3 to 4 years.
In the last 5 games (2016) we are 88 for 80 against
In the last season and 5 games 545 for to 520 against
In the last 2 seasons and 5 games 950 for and 914 against
In the last 3 seasons and 5 games 1403 for and 1367 against
In the last 4 seasons and 5 games 1885 for and 1834 against.
In the last 5 seasons and 5 games 2385 for and 2379 against.

mate i used to find it funny it is getting too big and out of hand now...its going to bite us in the arse...u watch

umpires love to please the masses so any chance they get to give one against us late in a game now or not give will happen...

wait and see. the pressure will get to them.

its doing my head in. campaigners are pushing my buttons with their stupid comments...whats worse its coming from high profile media people that hate seeing hawthorn win as well..

watch any decision we get now/or anytime we win now....'umpires'

we are seriously up against it this year

I just want to smash every team and win the flag so bad now

Smith HTB was a 50 50 call. He was perhaps a little lucky but few umpires are going to call that.

Jude Bolton just said Smith was HTB every day of the week. What a load of panty waste. You see plenty of incidents where that kind of thing is a ball up. It's only because it's Hawthorn, otherwise nobody would be talking about it.

He said at any other time of the game that's HTB, but in the dying moments, the umpires put their whistle away.

Therein lies the problem
It's either htb and should be called every single time or it's not and never called at all

Tbh I thought he was going to be pinged - it was like he was a deer caught in the headlights

He was a deer choosing to stand in the headlights for the good of his herd, despite knowing that a car was coming!

Great post, mate, they all hate us. The club doesn't need to say much, the only way forward is to keep it in house and smash the bastards.

By the way, Angus, a personal question: Brian Johnson is out, but Axl Rose?

What the hell is that about?

yeah Davo no good mate, but like the Hawks we just got to roll with the punches.

So to all these people claiming that Hawthorn is favoured by the umpires, here's some information: since frees stats were recorded (1965) Hawthorn have been paid 30621 free kicks and had 33370 paid against them. That's a difference of 2749 free kicks against. (By far the worst treatment of any side in the league.) At an average of 45 m per free that's 123.705 km they have to make up. So remind me again how hawthorn is favoured?
I actually think we had some shocking decisio

I actually think some shocking decisions are already going against us, like that Crows game. At the end of the day, if we flat out smash teams (last couple GF's) then umpiring decisions don't mean shit.

Don't let it get to you, it's human nature for people to envious of those who are at the top. Don't be trolled by these folks mate. Just enjoy the tears.

but that's not the point here...there's a bigger picture here, a much bigger thing going on...

it's the fact that it's created so much media attention...and the only reason is...is because its Hawthorn

If it was the other way around and it wasn't payed for the crows do you think there would be this outrage and media coverage???
no way!! no chance! everyone would be happy and there wouldn't be mention of it. Everyone is up in arms because its Hawthorn...that is the big problem here.

P.S-IMO there is no way u pay that holding the ball..it is 50/50 at best but because it went Hawthorn way it's bigger than the JFK shooting

P.S.S-..any neutral supporter or media person that you hear unpacking or anaylising the game that doesn't say umpires won the game for the Hawks have good football intellect/IQ. They are not invested emotionally (haters) and know their football...take note.

Yes that's it mate, just like that. Pictures like that shuts them more than words can ever do. I have noticed logic and reason does not count for much, especially with deluded Cats supporters. Remember that one Cats fan who suggested winning flags 2 years apart is harder than winning consecutive flags? This is what we are dealing with people.

I don't understand all the fuss over the smith decision. It seems unnecessary, and spiteful. It certainly isn't analytical. He didn't have prior opportunity, and sloane clearly rakes the ball out in the process of trying to complete an effective tackle, which he doesn't. And that is poor of sloane- because he hasn't thought through the situation properly. He is trying to eventually get the ball free because he recognises that they need to kick a goal. Perhaps if he had tackled smith to the ground immediately, a different result might have ensued, who knows. The umpires didn't have time to blow their whistle anyway- so how could they have ever argued that smith had time to show he was making an attempt to get rid of it? Smith didn't have that time as there was no time left, and as we have established- the ball was raked out. So- I don't know what people expect.

Just seems like media trying to keep people talking about something and logged on to their websites, consuming their content.

I do it's Hawthorn winning again.

But your assessment of the situation is 100 per cent correct.

Can we paraphrase?

"WAAAAAAH WAAAAAH WHAMBULANCE" - Geelong supporter.

BTW Shiels got smacked in the shorts not stomach. So that may explain the free kick.

That was a con job by SHiels... even I as a one eyed Hawk fan can admit that.

What's a load of panty waste? The non-HTB decision? Or Jude Bolton himself?;):D

I didn't want to ask what that means!

Jude Bolton though is only getting air time because he's ex-Sydney.

Brian was told to immediately stop touring if he wanted to keep any sort of hearing.
Had to retire.

The Smith one at the death was probably there, but with so many players around the ball I'm sure the umps couldn't have seen it perfectly. Plenty of dodgy decisions through the game, but overall thought they did pretty well.

As for the Saints last week, well if you're going to do short kicks around the backline when you know they're being stricter on the 15m rule, then don't blame the umps when it backfires. If I was a Saints supporter I'd be filthy at the players not the umps for that one.
Also the saints got a goal from a non call of a nine meter kick. Plus I think one of the shows measured the kicks and 1 was 12.5 the other 16 meters. And on top of that, just cause the umpire calls play on doesn't mean you have to get tackled and drop the ball (not paid HTB) and have a goal scored. Any decent player after the first not 15 call would just kick it 60 meters down the line to avoid the pressure.
