I can't even read comments on our facebook page any more. I swear there is one guy on there who has a serious vendetta against Voss. It makes me sick! Every time I see his name I know exactly what is coming.

I know who you're talking about, and have been involved in numerous arguments with him. It's quite ridiculous how silly he looks.

This is definitely a numpty question, but how does the Lions Facebook work?

Does it have different threads for discussing various topics such as BF or is it just one long thread and how is it moderated?

Don't think I have ever heard a positive remark about it.

The person that runs the Facebook page generally posts news articles and videos. Like today they posted about and congratulating Sam Mayes for his Rising Star nomination. Yesterday there was a post linking to the NEAFL highlights video, and the team of the week etc. Then people comment on each news article, which from what I've seen is not really moderated. However it only shows the first two or so comments about each posting, and these days since the ones shown are the most "liked" ones, you don't really get the anti-Voss posts at the top.

I follow the page because it keeps me updated with the news articles and videos about the club, I've rarely ever read the comments about them. If you ignore the comments, it's pretty good IMO.

They have polls from time to time, like today these people on Facebook are deciding which classic quarter is played on the big screen before the Geelong match this weekend. (Q3 vs. Geelong Round 13, 2005 a.k.a. Aker's freakish goals is currently leading).

I'm not sure if you have seen 'the Ultimate Brisbane Lions fanpage', but the flogs well and truly come out on that one. Boy oh boy.

I was tempted to use it on Sunday re that flog supporter we were talking about. We won both the ressies & seniors yet the flog still found something to complain about. What an absolute flog! However, seeing as everyone [besides that flog] was on a high, I withhold from posting so as not to dampen the mood.

Speaking of everything turning into Simpsons quotes, as I was typing this I was thinking, "Stop saying flog in there"

If only we didn't have so many free kicks paid against us when we make contact.

To be fair though, Hawthorns skill execution has been miles above ours even though the stats aren't massively in favour of the Hawks. They play a very direct style of football which is hard to stop. Our defense looks shaky at best and Merrett being out hurt us a bit.

The only reason they didn't is because the umpires were on their knees doing the same thing all afternoon.

After 13 games, only 3 players have kicked double figures; Brown (20), Zorko (12) and Bewick (11).

I don't know how that compares to other sides, but it makes for very poor reading nonetheless.

In the NEAFL in the weekend, Brisbane beat Sydney Swans 19.11(125) to 9.3(57). We need those scores in the AFL!
