I can't remember the year, but it was Hawthorn v Port down in tassie, if I recall we were winning all bloddy day in sloppy wet typical tassie like day, we were up by like 15 with 3-4min left on the clock only to piss it away in the last 30 sec, out of the centre Clarence straight down to the fwd line, standing around with our thumb up our asses... That sucked! Threw my pint glass on the ground and walked out![]()
It was 2007. Cost Hawthorn a top four spot, but the silver lining was that the Hawks hosted Adelaide in an Elimination Final that year and Lance Franklin wrote himself into Hawthorn folklore for the first (but not the last) time.
