WCE will win a premiership before Carlton, Hawthorn or Essendon.
Disagree.

Our loss to WC was still a winnable game. The Eagles have finally rediscovered their mojo and put their best side back on the pack. With Cox, Embley and Glass in WC's best side, they're not exactly a team of spring chickens like the Pies who won last year's flag.

1. Jamieson is the most important person to carlton behind Judd.
2. Hawthorn were lucky we played Brisbane this week and that the Bye can't come quick enough
3. West Coast's press is extremely impressive
4. Geelong aren't gone and will have a huge crack at the flag but still need a tall forward to help out Pods
5. North aren't as far progressed as they or their supporters suggest
6. The Dogs are going to worry a lot of teams in the run to the finals

Are we not content with 2011 already ?

I suppose in a sense we are, but in another we aren't... we are where we are on the ladder because we deserve to be... same as everyone else, therefore to not build on it would be a part dissappointment. The pride in the teams attitude and effort will remain nonetheless.

In that respect I learnt this round that if we can improve our third quarters and not let teams back into it, our little blue and gold hearts may live a little longer.

1. Sam Reid is the best young KPP prospect in the league.

2. Sam Reid needs to learn how to kick if he wants to reach his full potential.

3. The Swans beating the Bulldogs at the SCG in a couple of weeks isn't as easy as it seemed a month ago.

4. People calling GWS dumb for going so hard after Ward are going to end up with egg on their faces.

Pies side in last years grandy had Ben Johnson, Leigh Brown and Darren Jolly, all equitable ages.

Glass has a perfect replacement in Eric Mackensie. Embley and Cox, both great players but we have good ruck and Midfield stocks to come in for them too. Team is the most part extremely young.

Glass, Cox and Embley will be around for a couple of years yet anyway, and after this season, injury dependant we're not a silly chance to have a crack at it 2012/13

No it isn't. WCE's average age is smack bang in the middle of the range: 24 years old give or take a few months.

That isn't extremely young at all.

13/22 blokes under 23 in the game on Friday night.

I would say that the "for the most part" statement holds up pretty well

completely agree. while west coast are back in town in the short term, the jury is still out on whether this list is building for long term sustainable success or whether the window is in effect only open for this year, 2012 and possibly 2013. as impressive as they have been, central to their rise this year has been the return of all of glass cox kerr embley nicoski lynch to their very best form. they are all veterans and the clock is ticking. yes they are all playing excellent footy right now but nobody defies age. as they decline/retire over the next 4 seasons can they be adequately covered? they represent alot of genuine class and expereince that will be departing the list and/or decreasing in performance within a relatively compressed time frame

I learned that the AFL will be able top fully finance the new Perth stadium just from this weeks melee fines

Younger then your team though so what does that mean for you?

Most sides would have a very similar mix of old heads and younger players.

WCE have become a very good side again because your older, more experienced players have hit seriously good form again. Cox, Kerr, Embley, Butler, Glass etc. have been massive this season.

- That bigfooty probably reads too much into the happenings of one weekend.

- That Richmond probably can't make the finals now, narrowing the race to 12.

* EDIT - I already knew that Collingwood are in the box seat, Carlton have an unhealthy reliance on too few, Saints & Bulldogs would sort their shit out sooner or later and that the Bombers would eventually stem the bleeding.

Seems like they had a good week to me. 1 for Ottens, reprimand for Naitanui, nothing for Goddard, nothing for Armatidge, and a bunch of melee fines. King and Vickery also fine? Can't remember what they got.

Bit of sense this week, no soft suspensions for a change.

This is what confuses me, who knows what's in store down the track. One week they are soft, week later your suspended for farting. And they should never go on medical evidence, it should be judged on the action only.

- That Carlton are pretenders.
- That West Coast have moved above Carlton and Hawthorn and should now be 3rd favourites for the flag.
- That St Kilda even if they make the finals can't do any damage (seriously how bad was that game of football yesterday)
- That the Doggies could do some damage if they get to the finals.
- That Geelong's depth isn't as good as we once thought.
- That Varcoe is shit.

and finally,

- That if Collingwood keep improving towards the finals, that all the other 16 teams may as well just start planning for 2012.
