I noticed the place up the street got a new fence put up.

The prices of fencing gone though the roof yet the quality of work been pretty poor.

We had some posts replaced no conrecte in the holes.

The tiler we used said he spend 6k on his fences and after 3 months they ****ed.

You pay good money you want good work done.
My daughter is about to buy a block of land , it’s a hammerhead block with a 65m driveway, that’s a lot of fencing I’m going to have to help them with down the track.

Hope your back is ready to throw hammers bye then.

Anyway got back from shopping the amount of people just park the car and don't even look crossing the carpark.Do they not care for their safety.

I don't understand how the spa got a crack in it.Had to go out to get stuff to patch it up.

Yes .

Oi put a bag a concrete in each hole ya wombats.
Just thinking about it, there’s gonna be a lot of holes to dig with about 150m of fencing to do

Yes .

You'll need a digger thingy to help and depending on what kind of fencing the old farm wire fencing seem to last fir longer.

Just my 5 cents worth.

Good on her getting land and setting up herself..good stuff .

Its insane.

My office is the last in a row of 5 warehouses. The second and third warehouses are taken by the container recycling scheme. Now, in this area at least, the scheme attracts quite a lot of people from a certain demographic. These ****ers don't give a shit. They'll park wherever they want. The just walk out into the traffic way whenever they want, but worst of all they just let their kids run around like its a playground.

I have at least 3 videos of me driving in and some dolt is just on his phone and I've literally gotten within nudging distance before I give them a toot and they shit themselves realising how close I am. Just zero situational awareness.

The amount of cars I've boxed in because they park in our signed carparks would be above 30. Then they have the gall to storm into our office and have a crack at us.

I have a petrol auger but I just broke the pull cord on it. We will probably build post and rail fencing. It’s pretty easy to put up once you got your lines set. Yeah her and her partner are only young but have saved over 100k to get themselves going. We suggested to just buy this block and stay with us a bit longer so they can put more money aside for the build.

Probably should be in an alternate thread but I feel so weird, now trying to equate things to $$ value in usage.

I just plonked down $144.01 for the "top" tier on the Playstation Network. It's an easy choice considering how much use I get out of it (and it's better than paying the standard $215 per year).

Funny thing is I have subscribed (more on than off) to the Xbox Live service over the last 19 years.... But I currently have not subscribed since April of this year... I could/should use my pre-purchased codes that I have collected many years ago.... but they would be months worth of value now instead of years. And I lack motivation to do it lol

Nintendo Switch, I'd like to subscribe again, but haven't done so since it ran out months ago.

I've been eying off a new tv thanks to the Black Friday deals going around. The tv I want is under $2000.......

My current 4K tv is 6 years old, at the price I paid for it.... I've basically had $99 of value per each year of ownership. And it was $1500ish cheaper than the original RRP... So I considered that good value. For the tv that has my interest to do the same.... it would basically be $327 of value.... with the added risk (being an OLED) breaking down unexpectedly.... thus having the money spent, be a waste.

The pc I purchased in August, I need to get more than 4 years of use out of it before the $ value per year of use drops below $1000. I'd like to hope that it's possible (seeing as my last pc is 13 years old and still works from a motherboard/psu perspective). I'd be up against it though considering this new pc is SFF in design and thus the power supply might not last the distance :=/.

Why when you put two leads in a box how they always come out in a massive knot
Ooo I heard this explained by Dr Karl.

Maths. The possible positions of the leads are many. The possible positions for leads in an untangled state is a tiny subset.

People who think naming train stations random names rather than after where they are located.

They seem ok to me (not a Melbourne resident). When you think of other recent naming forays they could have been worse. Schools also should be named simply for where they are located.

That's the point. The bloke wanted to name State Library station Barry. And he thinks naming Arden station Boomer is a good idea. I thought the article was satire at first but reads at the bottom he is a passionate public transport user.

Dual carriageway which branches into 5 lanes with a left turn lane. Probably enough room for 20 cars bumper to bumper in the turning lane. Traffic heavy turning left so some cars are stopped in the left lane of the dual carriageway.

Why do people insist on moving into the right lane to get around the traffic only to get back into the left lane and try and get into the turning lane right at the intersection? Wait your fking turn.

Wife was looking for her phone everywhere then realised she’d left it in my car, she went to go get it and as she walked in was like ‘ahh I’m such a nonce’ …

I ask her what exactly she thinks it means to say someone is a nonce… she says it means silly or an airhead and that she uses it all the time at work……..

Don’t understand how she hasn’t been called into HR

Yep. Absolutely disgusting to be calling people an arbitrary number or string used only once in cryptography.

That's just my opinion though.

I don't understand how Ed Sheeran is a thing.

Now, I do understand music is subjective. And it certainly doesn't bother me that music I don't like becomes popular. But I had avoided all Ed Sheeran music with the exception of Shape of You, which is not my cup of tea but has some interesting elements, so I assumed he was massively famous because he has other songs like that. But then my daughter asked to put him on in the car, it started playing a playlist of his hits, and they were all so bland and milquetoast, just so uninteresting. If you told me he was a moderately successful musician, fine, but he is a global superstar packing out stadiums.

I don't understand.
