Part 6 is over there:

Where did you get the cabinets from?

I've got items I'd love to have on display but in a cabinet rather than just open shelving
Got them at Aldi, one of their special buys.
Paid $99 each (Ikea variant was $159 and no longer available)

Thought about grabbing 2 more but they literally sold out in each store the day the sale opened.
I had to truck several suburbs away after finding stock using online search.

Check fb marketplace, theres usually a few kicking around on their from $50-upwards, just need to pick up an assembled unit.

We've got the car race here this weekend and it occurred to me, what do the Holden till I die crowd do now Holden has predeceased them?
I’m going to follow the Toyota team, I always wanted a supra in the early 2000’s

I remember Brocky moving to drive a BMW being headline news. If the word unAustralian had existed in the 80s it would definitely have been described as such.

Ugh Peter Brock. Utter campaigner of a bloke.. one of those arseh*le, toxic wife/spousal abusing flogs Australian society placed on an unworthy pedestal.

I also think Steve Irwin was placed upon a unworthy pedestal for different reasons to Brocky (nothing to do with any kind of spousal abuse, but more for the fact Steve was a pro John Howard/politically right wing anti immigrant/foreigner bigot)

And don't get me started on Donald Bradman.

Least in Ireland/Britain, the truth about champion footballer George Best being an drunken, multiple wife/spouse beating sack of crap has never been disguised by the media over there

If shitting on Australians was an Olympic sport you'd be a gold medallist

No, I don't have time for blokes who have gotten away with wife/spousal abuse for years, even in death..

I knew Peter Brock was a wife basher way back in 1998 from a close friend of one of Brocky's step kids.

Bit off topic but did Brocks magic cube in his car really work?

Drove an an M3 then a Ford Sierra before going back to Holden. Moving away from homologated road cars to what became V8 Supercars (stock cars dressed up to look like Commodores and Falcons) gave Holden and Ford a massive boost and probably extended local car manufacturing a few years (the main reason it stopped is too much choice for consumers and you can't survive here unless you are selling volume). I love old Australian cars but the sedans we were making in the 80s were never going to compete with turbocharged all wheel drive cars out of Europe and Japan. Apparently 193,000 people attended the Bathurst 1000 this year and the record crowd is 207,000 so I guess it is still popular which is nice. I thought it would die in the arse when Commodores and Falcons were phased out and Nissans, Mercedes and Volvos came along but I guess not.

Nope.

You never wanted to get stuck behind Bradman on the Parade, he drove a blue Sigma at about 40 straddling the middle line.

The VL commodore had a Nissans motor in it ...I guess that's where the change started.

I found two blue tongue lizards today. One was big and fat shuffling around in a garden bed. My cat was curious so I helped him to hide under my back deck. The other was a small one in my shed. I heard they help keep snakes away but I don't know if that's true.

Maybe not the appropriate thread but this was a couple of suburbs from where I live. About 8 of them..
