Some guy in the US posted that he was getting power from his solar array last night with the full moon.

Just checked mine and by god he's right.
Less than 10 watts but it works!
Doesn’t it need heat though? Not just light?

Solar panels work on light , in fact heat can have the opposite effect on them

Funny you can your phone Etc on a tiger moth flight.

But cant on the Sydney bridge climb or Perth zipline.
Money I guess.

Vivid at Sydney is quiet good.

On the Sydney harbour Bridge it's because there is a busy road just below you and people don't want cameras and phones dropped by tourists smashing their windscreens while driving across

True that.

They didn't say that nor did I think of that.

Pinched this rather delightful description of Bathurst from facebook:

Bathurst exists for one reason only: as the location of the Bathurst 1000, otherwise known as Bogan Christmas. This annual orgy of car carnage sees vast hordes of mechanophiles drink-drive from as far afield as Logan, Geelong and Elizabeth for a long weekend of cheering on their favourite international automobile manufacturing conglomerate. The options are Ford or Chevrolet, and you must choose one. You don’t need to know why—you just need to buy a decal of Calvin pissing on whichever one you didn’t pick. It’s Australia’s version of the Gathering of the Juggalos but somehow even more white trash, The Hunger Games for people with mullets and meth mouth.
In an effort to reduce the booze-fuelled anarchy, authorities have imposed a limit of one box of grog per drongo per day, barely enough to keep the average Australian male awake. Enterprising yobbos have taken to burying crates of VB months prior to the Great Race and digging them up on the big day in the most bogan treasure hunt possible. Popular side events include blowing up toilet blocks, firebombing ice-cream trucks, and beating up people who like the wrong type of car.
Bathurst makes several dubious claims to fame, usually related to its long and boring history, in an attempt to pretend that it’s not just a car race town. Locals are quick to point out that it was the site of Australia’s first gold discovery, was the first European settlement on the western side of the Great Dividing Range, and holds the Guinness World Record for the most cars with ridiculous mods, racist bumper stickers and alcohol ignition interlocks. Bathurst’s main permanent tourist attraction is the National Motor Racing Museum, a museum for people who don’t go to museums. The city is also renowned for its remarkably low average intelligence, a combined effect of its elevation and excessive petrol fumes.
Bathurst may be known for its burnout-scarred racetrack, but its best road leads directly out of this petrol-soaked tyre fire of a town.

I used to watch Bathurst maybe late 90s early 2000s. Surprised it and the Supercars series is still popular now that the Holden/Ford tribalism is gone. Mustangs aren't that popular and the Camaro isn't for sale any more because no one bought it. Completely different dynamic to when Commodores and Falcons were still selling. The race cars stopped having anything in common with the road going versions a few decades ago but you could still do burnouts in the carpark and pretend having a V6 Commodore made you Mark Skaife. Bit harder to do that when everyone drives Ford Rangers and those ridiculous Rams.

I went to a few Grand Prix when they were here. It was a solid seven in terms of a day out, six when it rained.
My mum worked on Hutt St on the corner of the track, I went to every Adelaide Grand Prix for free it was awesome and the sound was amazing

The best year was when they had Cher as the after concert.
I don’t recall I was only young, I still remember meeting fangio and sterling moss sitting in a Porsche , got a photo with them and an autograph, probably my most prized autograph.

Meeting Fangio must have been a genuine thrill.

Took the dogs for walk up Sunny Meade beach loop along the cliff and beach.
Would of liked some more views.

Dog rocks was a good spot will go back.

Just wrote a list of dog friendly walks in the Otway's Etc we'll have a go at and hopefully I find more spots.
