Things that please me - Part 6

In a caravan park in Bundy. As a novice caravan owner I've been pleased with the number of people who are eager to help with things like reversing my van. Had a few conversations with people doing similar to me, some for quite a while and they're all happy to share their expertise.

Even in first class at caravan park 🤣.

Those big American motorhomes are excessive, but then so are a lot of caravans these days.

I could get around owning something up to a Mercedes Sprinter van which was kitted out.

Some of them are kitted out really well .
First class.

Ive heard stories of families bulling out single people from camp sites.

Not my normal form of travel I'm normally out doing things and get back to late.

But theres plenty of free camp sites.

One camp site here in vic got 2.5 k spots .
Its also out of the way abit.

The smell of banana bread baking in the oven 🤤
Salivating Homer Simpson GIF

If you ever want something that puts you to sleep fairly quickly, the 2005 grand final should do the trick. I fell asleep just as the first quarter was ending. Now awake as fresh as a daisy!

I couldn't watch the 2007 GF .
Billy Brownless goes ohhh did you see that.
No billy it's radio 🤣.

Misplaced my car keys yesterday but found them this morning. What concerns me though is that I didn't think push start cars could start without the key being nearby, but I was driving kms away from where I found them.

Ive wondered that on the push button cars.

All new newer cars have sensors everywhere.

One of the pleasurable activities of years gone by was spending hours tinkering with your car and its engine, fixing or adjusting minor and sometimes major bits. Now you wouldn’t dare touch the thing.

I did all my own motorcycle maintenance (very Zen) including stuff like balancing quad carburettors etc. Same with cars until I got a VN Commodore and it had a computer and ignition packs instead of a distributor and thats when I threw in the towel. Still do stuff like oil and filter changes, brake pads etc but nothing engine-related any more. And these days they are designed for ease of manufacturing and assembly, with zero consideration for the poor bastards who have to work on them.
